Pet care experience
I am a dog-loving young adult who loves to interact with dogs, whether it be taking them on demanding hikes, strolls along the beach, or just walking the neighborhood or playing in the backyard. I love just hanging out with dogs to cuddle or play. I take my own dog to swim at Hendry's Beach, to hike at Elings, to walk at Shoreline Park, and we love playing fetch in the backyard, and hide-and-go-seek. I have about 10 years experience with different dog breeds varying in age and have trained several dogs to follow basic commands. I am very responsible so will follow owner's instructions to a tee for the well-being of the pup in my care. I really enjoy hanging-out with dogs and doing what they like to do!

Alexa was amazing with our lab. We had never left our dog at a sitter's home before and I was nervous as he has health issues and needs medication multiple times per day. Alexa took great care of him and sent us pictures of him regularly during our trip, and even checked in when she had questions (which I appreciated). I highly recommend Alexa!

I would like to know what the dogs preferences for fun are. i.e. their favorite game, where they like to walk... I would also like to know what commands they know and if they have any habits I need to be wary of (escape artists, bathroom needs, friendliness with other animals, dietary needs, etc.). I prefer to work with larger breeds but I enjoy all dog breeds.
A typical day
I will walk the dog around its neighborhood or to any nice areas nearby. If the owner has recommendations for locations their dog loves to go I am willing to take the dog there. Depending on the dog's trustworthiness and owner preferences I am willing to take the dog to off-leash parks or beaches. I will play with the dog, if it has a favorite game.
