Pet care experience
I have been around dogs and all types of pets my whole life. For a year, I organized a dog walking business in my neighborhood where I would walk dogs as needed from clients, family, and friends. I have experience with small pets as well having owned a bunny for six years and getting to experience fish ownership as well.

Alexa was wonderful! She went out of her way to visit before her stay to make sure she was a good fit for our very anxious pup. She sent pictures and updates and was excellent at asking clarifying questions. She house and dog sat for 9 days, ensuring medication was administered, pups were loved and cared for and I swear the house was neater than I left it! We will definitely use Alexa again!

Alexa Coleman is a wonderful, thoughtful, and dedicated animal lover! I cannot sing her praises loudly enough. I am the Mom of multiple pets and Alexa takes care of them all! She is thoughtful, never messes up care instructions, she is dedicated giving me the full days reports on who did what, when and where; she even calls to follow up with me when I let her know that one of my babies has to go the vet. I let her know when she is needed and I never have to worry that she won't be there for my babies. I trust her in my home, with my pets and their care. I just cannot explain how wonderful and thoughtful she is. And her love of ALL animals is amazing. I am so proud to have her on my "care team". If I could have her fulltime, I would!

Information that us important to know about dogs is how active they are, how they respond to other dogs being in their area, and how the dog will respond to other people when walking them. I also like to know if they have food aggression and how they act when someone is away. Some dogs have anxiety when being left alone and other are fine so it’s important that I get to know the animals’ regular routine to make sure they’re comfortable while they’re parents are away.
A typical day
When spending time with dogs I like to make sure that they have fun. This would include me taking them out on a walk or to a park or out in a field in order to play games and run around. It's important to me to gain the animals trust and form a healthy relationship so when I do come to care for the animal they will be excited and ready for our adventure.

This job is my main job, so I have plenty of attention and time for your pets. I am a college student currently attending online classes at University or Maryland Global Campus aspiring to a historian.
