Hello! My name is Alex and I am a graduate student at Anshcutz Medical Campus. I’ve always had some sort of pet in my house, including a handful of dogs growing up. While I plan on getting a dog in the near future, I figured what better way to figure out what kind of dog personality suits my lifestyle best than dog sitting through Rover?! I recently got a house of my own with a big fenced in backyard, so it’s pretty much perfect for hosting dogs of all sizes. BONUS – I conveniently live close to the airport (~10-15min away!). **You can park your car at our place if you don't want to pay airport parking. We can also work out a shuttle if you trust me to drive your car back to my house. Contact me for more details :) I’m open to dogs of all sizes and most ages, with a soft spot in my heart for old doggies. With the big yard, we will spend lots and lots of time outside! I have a decent supply of tennis balls, but please send your dog’s favorite toys along with them and we will get lots of use out of them! I allow dogs on my furniture but if they are trained to stay off, I will definitely respect that and enforce your rules. I’m pretty lame and thus am available pretty much every weekend. During the week, I’m on campus from 8ish-5ish but luckily my schedule is flexible so I can work with you for convenient meet & greets/drop-off/pick-up times. My boyfriend James is now employed so neither of us are around the entire day, but we are able to offset each other (I'll head to campus when he works early, etc). The one major thing that I need to be aware of before I can watch your dog is how he acts around cats… I have one old cat that runs the house and doesn’t like to be bothered by other animals. He’s cool to ignore the dog if they ignore him (or at least aren't confrontational). Also, if you know your dog likes to eat cat litter, give me a heads up so I can hide the box in our bedroom – I don’t think either of us want them snacking on that!
