Hello! My name is Alex (she/they). I have been an animal lover my entire life and a trustworthy care taker for nearly as long. I am personally the proud parent of a beautiful 3 year old leopard gecko, Garbanzo, and I otherwise enjoy sitting for/walking the furry companions of friends, family, and neighbors in the area. This loveable roster of creatures includes cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, and demeanors. I feel confident that I can bring a vast range of experience and intuition to the care that your beloved pet desires and deserves.

Fritz (dog) and Alex had walking lunch dates for many months. Like 8+. She is wonderful and is a fast walker and very patient with a puppy, now teenager golden retriever. They are best buds! Can’t say enough glowing things about Alex. I was flex on her showing up, as long as they got their walk in. She always let me know a few days in advance if she had to cancel a scheduled day. We moved and we will miss her. She is super r liable and loving.
Alex was so helpful and careful with our pup. They made sure to ask a bunch of questions to make sure they knew everything about our dog and was thoughtful and considerate.
Alex took wonderful care of our cat and provided wonderful updates and photos! We felt great leaving our cat in their care. Thanks Alex!!

My goal is that your pet is as safe and loved with me as they are with you. I do this by following your instructions to a T and being very attuned to your pet's behavior. I'm no stranger to allergies, anxiety, reactivity, exercise needs, and lovable quirks of all kind. Please note that I do not accept clients whose pets have a history of aggression with other animals or humans.

During our complimentary 15-30 minute meet and greet, please let me know how I can provide the absolute best care for your pets by informing me of any special needs or restrictions. The more information I have about leash training, reactivity to other people/animals, medications, etc., the better.
A typical day
I live by the lake and would love to take your pup out for a loop or to explore the sights and smells of Oakland's awesome neighborhoods. I also occasionally travel up into the hills to hike and would be thrilled to have a companion out in the sunshine with me. For cats, elderly friends, and drop-ins, I am totally down to relax in parallel with your pet or provide stimulating play with their favorite toys. Regardless of how we spend time together, rest assured there will be pictures!

Availability
Pet care is currently my full-time responsibility, and I have pretty open availability and flexibility to pop around as needed. I understand, however, that your work schedule or your pet's walk/medication schedule might be rigid or demanding. I can promise that whether I see your pet on a regular or intermittent basis, you can count on me to get to where you need me to be on time.
