Hi, I’m Alex (they/he) and my goal is to offer your pet the best life possible while they are in my care. One of my favorite aspects of pet sitting is getting to know the pet and building a mutual bond of trust and companionship :) I've been caring for animals since 2003 in different capacities- pet sitting cats and dogs, neighborhood dog walks, pack hikes, dog daycares. I've worked with various breeds, sizes, temperaments and stages in life, and I enjoy tailoring care to meet your pet's individual needs. I have experience working with shy and fearful animals. My approach is to give them space and let them approach me at the speed of trust. I'm a reliable, communicative, and down-to-earth individual who will look after your pets and home with the utmost attentiveness and respect for your privacy. I follow directions well and it's a priority to maintain your pet's routine to help him/her feel better adjusted to you being away. I look forward to sharing my care and attention with your pet <3

Alex is truly wonderful. She took amazing care of our dog while we were out of town for Christmas. She sent us regular updates and adorable pictures and really seemed to enjoy snuggling with our pup, who always wants a lot of attention. She also took great care of our apartment and left it tidier than we did. We will definitely be asking Alex to dogsit for us in the future! Thanks Alex!
From the moment Alex came for the meet and greet to the moment she looked after Bernie and Tess, she has been nothing but amazing. Alex is super flexible, extremely responsible. She keeps you up to dates and sends you pictures at all times. She also kept the house spotless clean. My pup and cat were super well taken care of during my absence and Alex definitely put my mind at ease though I was away from them. I would definitely recommend using Alex and wish I could take her with me back to Hong Kong so she can continue to look after my babies when I'm travelling when I leave the US. Alex, you are a superstar and I cannot thank you enough! :)

I like to keep my living spaces neat and tidy, and you can rest assured that I will clean up after myself during my stay. - I'm not a fan of hosting, so I also won't be throwing parties while you are away. - I value my privacy and it's important to extend the same courtesy to my clients. The only drawers and cabinets I will look through are those in the kitchen for cooking (unless you specify certain ones as being off limits).

A typical day
Dogs: As an active person, I enjoy going on walks may also include some impromptu jogging/sprinting for dogs that would enjoy that level of activity. Your dog and I will explore the neighborhood/city and hang out at parks. Cats: I'm attentive to cats at their level of comfort. If this means playtime, we'll spend time with toys or a laser pointer. If your cat enjoys affection, I'm very happy to oblige. And if your pet is more on the shy side, I can offer a quiet presence and company from afar.

I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to cater my day around your pet's routine and individual needs. I'm happy to learn more about his/her regular routine, and it's helpful for me to have it written out so that I can refer back to it during my time there.
