Pack leader with patience and love

Pet care experience

I have had the blessing of having dogs in my life since birth. Having lived near the woods the past 7 years gave me the opportunity to take my pack of 5 dogs, ranging from a Miniature Dachshund to a Giant Schnauzer in size, into national forest to hone our pack skills. As well as determining how to appropriately stimulate each dogs mental and physical capacities. My time growing up was spent learning the intricacies of training and continues to benefit me to this day. In my time working with dogs I have learned that exercise (much like humans) is a vital role in a well behaved, calm, and submissive dog.

Alex has cared for animals throughout his entire life. He has a wide variety of experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds and more! He is extremely passionate about every animal’s wellbeing and he always puts their needs above his own. Moreover, Alex is a fantastic pack leader. He is able to assert his dominance in a kind and gentle way. By doing this he not only gains the animals trust and friendship, but he gains their respect by giving respect. I have seen him with more than 5 dogs at one time and every single one was happily walking in a pack behind him. He pays close attention to every animals’ body language. He easily picks up on how they’re feeling and what they’re trying to communicate. You will be able to rest, work, or travel confidently knowing your pet is in safe care. Alex is an extremely loving person and he will quickly gain affection from any animal without even trying. I know that he will tailor his routine to fit the needs of each individual animal that he cares for. After you meet him, I know you will feel the same way. I trust Alex whole-heartedly and I don’t leave my 2 dogs in anyone else’s care but his.

Alex is exceptional with dogs. He has trained every type from a Giant Schnauzer to a miniature Dachshund to mutts of every persuasion. If you're looking for someone to get your best friend some exercise and discipline, Alex is your guy.

Information Alex R. would like to know about your pet

I believe meeting the owner of the dog to be as important as the dog itself. The routine and training from owner to dog is very important to me and gives me a sense of how to engage with the dog and where to go moving forward. I am not opposed to any breed of dog as long as the proper precautions are taken with each predisposition.

A typical day

I live near Seaman's Gulch north of Boise and that is where much of our exercise will take place. If the dogs in care are agile and learn to see me as their leader, I would be comfortable biking on trails with them. If they are older, slower, or poorly behaved dogs, I will be working on simple commands and calm, submissive behavior that will benefit both the dogs and owners once reunited. I have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood. I believe all sorts of social interaction are necessary to have a well balanced dog and have the capability to provide this.
