Love caring for dogs!
Pet care experience
I have cared for many cats and dogs for 10+ years. I have experience with: senior dog care, dogs with medical issues, puppy/kitten care, walking large and small dogs alike, anxious dogs, dog-reactive behavior and more. My main job is working with special-needs children who also have service dogs. One of my first pups was a diabetic, blind and deaf pug. I provided insulin shots twice a day and realized that after he passed I genuinely enjoy caring for dogs and Rover seems like an opportunity to continue that passion. My very first dog was a large, strong German Shepherd who was a ball of energy and constantly needed walking. Currently I care for a senior Springer Spaniel afflicted with cancer; she enjoys short walks but must constantly be supervised due to her dog-aggression and because she is easily stressed by other dogs. I love to hang out with any dogs and cats, whether social and energetic or skittish and shy animals. Thank you for your consideration!

Alex is the best. We needed him to sit for our 2 boys and we had Alex come to our home the night before to meet our 2 boys to make sure Alex felt comfortable with them. They felt comfortable with Alex right away and so did we. Alex sent us awesome pics of our boys while he was sitting them and sent updates throughout the day. Alex is very polite and sincere and cares very much about what he does. We will definitely be using Alex as our sitter from now on. Our boys had a great time with him and they definitely bonded.
Alex took perfect care of my pup!! He played with him when he got super energetic, he also made sure he ate his meals since my dog is very picky and doesn't like to eat and basically paid attention to all of his weird particularities I mentioned. He loves him!!!
Alex is an incredibly caring and responsible individual who also regularly works with autistic children whose parents are always extremely grateful for him. I personally am also an experienced Rover sitter and shelter volunteer and can vouch that his dog care abilities and knowledge are on par with my own. He has taken care of my own very difficult to manage dog on numerous occasions whom I would 100% not trust anyone else to watch him. He would have so much fun with your pup(s) and take care of them perfectly!
