Get To Know Me: My name is Alex, I’m a freelance artist doing part time work as a pet carer, offering drop-ins and walks. Every pet is different, and because of that I pay extra attention to owners details about their furry friends! It often takes time for all parties to start to fully trust each other, my favourite part of the job is figuring out what makes your pet comfortable and happy and catering to their individual needs in the best ways I can. If it means an extra treat here and there or extra cuddles before a walk I’m in! I am very active on Rover and reply quickly so if you have any questions or requests I’m more than happy to answer any! Experience: I have owned dogs my whole life and love my job, every dog I meet has their own personality and I love getting to know them all! I have owned Dachshunds all the way up to Greyhounds and Labradors and found a great passion for caring for them all. I have great experience with a range of dogs, especially those a bit older who need some patience on walks. I also have good experience with more nervous dogs who need that extra caring attention to get their confidence up while on walks. Please be aware, I will only accept bookings once a Meet & Greet has been successful. This is in the best interest of owners, pets and myself.

I'm so gutted that Alex is no longer dog walking. She was sensitive to my dogs needs and communication was excellent. Alex is going to be hard to beat as I look for a replacement. All the best Alex for your future and hopefully I'll see you back here again!
Happy as always with Alex, she never forgets to give missy her meds before taking her to the park. She always updates me on how missy is when out as she has arthritis in her legs.
Alex is always thoughtful to missys needs as she has arthritis and we communicate all the time making sure to let me know if there are any issues with her. She gives her meds, gives her cuddles and wraps her up in her blanket. Missy enjoys her walks with Alex very much.
Alex has been walking my senior dachshund once a week for almost three months now and I’m really happy with her services. She’s punctual, responsible and most importantly great with Charcoal. My dog is always excited to see her, possibly because she always has dog treats on her or he knows he’ll get to go on a walkie but either way my dog always excitedly jumps off the bed to greet her. Communication is also great, she always replies quickly which I really appreciate. She also gave me plenty of time in advance if she knew she won’t be available on a given day so I could make suitable arrangements. Overall, 10/10 I would really recommend Alex!

I’m very tidy and leave homes as I find them, if your dog needs extra care before or after walks (wiping paws, having a bath), I am more than happy to get my hands dirty! Please alert me to any triggers your pet may have that could harm either my safety or your pets.

A typical day
Growing up in the countryside makes me a sucker for a walk around the woods, I lived in a city for 7 years and also enjoy parks or walking around streets. Wherever your dog likes to go, I’ll happily take them there as it’s all about them getting a good walk (please consider the walk time you have booked if you’d like me to take them further away). I’m happy to socialise your pets if you are comfortable, I will only let dogs off the lead who I have walked regularly with explicit confirmation from the owner. I will not walk a reactive dog off the lead at all for everyone’s safety including other dogs.

My schedule is very flexible to fit your needs, however I do ask for more than 1 week notice for regular bookings. I can accept last minute bookings occasionally.
