Pet care experience
I am a college student who is not only looking for a good summer job, but also a fun and engaging job. This is the perfect one, because I get to do it with my favorite pet and animal: Dogs. I can do 5 or more walks a day, and do as many drop in visits as you would like. It will not only satisfy you, but it will also satisfy me because I get to be around dogs. I am available all summer unless there is a sudden schedule change. I am able to administer oral medication and also know how to treat older dogs and younger dogs with the specific care they need. I look forward to meeting your dogs, and will treat them with the best care I can offer. I am willing to take care of all dogs, no matter the age or size, as I believe all dogs are great and fun animals. I am super excited to be able to meet your furry friend!

Alex did drop in visits for a two week stint while my husband was out of town. I had a lot going on at work and he was always super responsive, flexible and our Lab Piper loved his visits! Alex is a nice guy and a very responsible young man. I would absolutely use him again.
Alex was great! We could tell immediately when we had our meet & greet that he loved dogs and would take such good care of Moose! I really appreciated his communication and photos during Moose’s stay. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a dog sitter and we will look to use Alex in the future.
My husband and I used Rover.com for the first time this weekend. Prior to leaving our two dogs with Alex, he was very accommodating and let us come meet him and see where our dogs would stay. Alex has a dog of his own, so it was nice that our dogs could do a pre-meet to ensure all would get along (they did!). After the meet, we had no reservations about him caring for our fur babies. Alex sent text updates and pictures of the dogs throughout the weekend. He also took them to the off leash dog park, which is their favorite thing to do! Alex is just getting started with Rover.com. I hope if you are reading this and consider using this service that you will use him. Alex took excellent care of our dogs and I highly recommend him to watch your fur baby!
It's obvious Alex is a big fan of animals, especially dogs. He has owned his own dog for 3 years and has dog-sat for friends many times. Alex would be perfect for your dog in need of a nice hike and exercise or for dog/house sitting. Alex is a caring, responsible young man and would love to meet your furry friend.

The only things I need to know before sitting a dog is just their size, age, and if they need medication. I am willing to take care of any sized dogs and can take care of any age, but it would just be good to know so I can give them the proper care they need. Also, if your dog needs injected medication, I am not 100% on that. However, I can administer oral medication. I do not have any breed preferences. Also I would like to know if your dog gets along well with other dogs, so I can plan accordingly.
A typical day
I will go on walks around the large pond in my backyard, which is about a half mile long. There are also a lot of other places that I can go to. Less than 1 1/2 miles from my house is Lake Waconia, and I will be able to run/walk with your dog for as long as you would like on the trails surrounding the lake. I will also go to the dog park if you would like, which is a short 10 minute drive from my house. There, the dogs can play with many other dogs, and can even go without a leash, but I will only do that with your consent. Also, if your dog knows any tricks, I will keep them engaged with treats/toys that they like and will continually interact with them if they get bored. Also, I will allow your dog to get plenty of rest if they need it.
