Pet care experience
I love animals. Growing up, my favorite place in the world to visit was my veterinarian Uncle's house, which had 6 dogs, 7 cats, 9 horses, pigs, goats, and everything in between. I moved to Boston for law school, and I currently live with my own 13-year-old rescue kitty, Phoebe and my rambunctious kitten Luna. Back home in California, my 16-year-old puppy, Puma (really, she has no idea how old she is) lives with my parents. I know how to care for both dogs and cats, and I am happy to help your pet feel loved even when you can't be there! I understand how important pets -- they're members of the family -- and I promise to treat them that way! Every pet has specific needs and different personalities, and I recognize the importance of adapting to the animals rather than expecting them to adapt to you. Law school is expensive, animals are adorable, and this seems like the perfect solution!

Alex is just what I needed in a pet sitter. We were leaving the country for a week and I was anxious about leaving our slightly involved single cat alone for 9 days. Alex enthusiastically signed on for the job (she came recommended) and came by to meet our kitty before we left so I could show her the routine. She is clearly an animal lover having pets of her own so that immediately put my mind at ease. The daily updates were great and funny, the communication was so helpful, and we could tell she really appreciates and “gets” our cat the way we do. The pictures were so reassuring to have as well. I can tell she loves our cat as we do. 10/10 would hire again.

I do not have a backyard, but I have two kitties. They can’t be together, so we keep them separate. Phoebe doesn’t like other animals, but Luna certainly does. All pets will be treated like family.

Please let me know about any special needs your pet has! I have no preference on breeds or anything of that nature. I do not know how to inject medicine, so unfortunately we likely won’t be a good fit if that is needed.
A typical day
The normal dog things! We will go for walks, maybe even runs depending on the pup, play around outside (and inside), and cuddle (if the pup is a cuddler).
