Happy dog, Happy life!

Pet care experience

Hello! I’m Alex! Dogs have always been a major part of my life and what I believe makes a happy dog is engaging them in fun activities that get their bodies moving and their brains working, such as nice walks where they get all the new smells, or some play time with their favorite toys, or maybe some extra love! I have worked at a doggy daycare, being able to care for 50+ dogs in a day and have been in animal welfare for many years, saving as many dog lives as I can! My availability is very open and im excited to meet more dogs and help people keep their dog happy and healthy, giving them the best life possible! Signing your dog up for care with me, will mean that we find out what exactly your dog needs to thrive and enjoy life as much as possible.

I highly recommend Alex as both a pet sitter and dog walker. Her love, compassion and knowledge about dogs is unmatched. She is trustworthy, responsible and kind. Alex goes above and beyond to make sure that each dog in her care is not only well cared for but happy beyond measure!

Alex has years of experience caring for dogs and is always taking them out on different adventures. She's honest, caring, active, and has a genuine love for animals. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet!

I have known Alex her whole life. She is kind , caring, courteous and conscientious. I have never seen anyone be more loving and caring of animals. Dogs are basically her life. She is prompt, efficient and I believe would be a excellent asset to your company.

Alex is the ideal dog sitter. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about behavior, training, and experience with dogs that have special needs (physical and behavioral), she is very passionate about quality pet care. I have seen her through foster dogs as well as the love she has for her own. I, with full confidence, can say that your pet(s) will feel comfortable, safe and well taken care of in her capable hands. I highly recommend her.

Safety, trust & environment

My house has a fenced in yard, where the dogs are always monitored. They can run around and enjoy all of the smells, play with my dogs if they are the right companions for each other, or enjoy playing frisbee, ball, tug, whatever their favorite activity is! We have crates if dogs need a break from the activity or quiet time, or they also are allowed on the furniture. I will only have one daycare dog a day so the focus can be completely on them, if I feel like your dog would match good with another client it is something that can be discussed to see where the comfort level is. *for daycare your dog does need to be assessed to make sure that they will be a good fit for a house that has multiple dogs in it and cats, I would recommended setting up a walk first so I can spend time with your dog and I can tell you if I think we can move forward with trying daycare.* Drop in visits, can be whatever is needed for the dogs, if that is playing outside, potty breaks, being fed, cuddled, getting enrichment and playing brain activity games. I am completely positive reinforcement based and really focus on dogs body language and behavior to see what they're needing to be more comfortable and happy.

Information Alex H. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences, I love any kind of dog big or small! I would love to know how they are with other animals, how much energy they have, what they like or dislike, any food allergies, and anything special that will let me know more about them, since each dog is an individual I like to know as much as possible!

A typical day

My client dogs will get nice hikes where they can enjoy the beautiful scenery the Pacific Northwest has to offer, fun enrichment like finding hidden treats, swimming (if they enjoy water), longline freedom, and extra love and attention or pretty much whatever makes them happiest! Of course the owners will get nice happy photos of their dogs so they can see what a great time their dog is having!
