Pet care experience
I love dogs more than most things in life, and your dog is in for the time of its life with me. I am willing to run, walk, play, and otherwise dote on your fluffy child. I hope to make this more than a one-time gig so I can develop a relationship with you and your dog. Think of me as your gateway to guilt-free trips away from home. I've had most of my experience caring for my neighbors' Samoyeds, who are so needy that they required that I sleep next to them at night while their owners were gone on vacation. I am well-aware of how special dog needs can get, from diet to exercise to excessive attention. I can't wait to spend time with your dog!

Alex was wonderful. When he came over to meet Jada, she didn’t bark at him when she came in from the back yard -a first for someone she had never met! He was on the floor with her immediately and she took to him right away too. I came home to a very happy, relaxed, and well cared for dog. We will most definitely ask Alex back!
Alex has taken care of my dog on numerous occasions (a rescue terrier mix, around 6 y/o), and although my dog is extremely friendly and agreeable, he definitely needs both a firm and cuddly carer. Alex's willingness, flexibility, and absolute love for my own dog puts me at ease whenever he can dogsit for me. Might sound far-fetched (hah, dog jokes), but I couldn't have asked for a better person to care for my #1 little man and personal ride-or-die: my dog.
Not only is Alex a responsible and pragmatic caretaker, he’s undeniably kindhearted and amazingly dependable when it comes to looking after friends and animals alike. When he lived in California, he was usually my go-to when I needed my own dogs looked after because they trust him as much as they trust me. He befriends both humans and animals in almost no time at all—not to mention, he’s also quick on his feet in case of any accidents and always has the mess cleaned up in a jiffy.

Does your dog require special attention for any reason (scared of loud noises/dogs, overly aggressive with other dogs, pees when nervous, etc.)? How does your dog like being in the car? I can provide transportation to/from different walking locations if I have more than 2 hours. What things does your dog LOVE? Toys, treats, pats, stinky shoes, soft blankets? How long does it take for your dog to warm up to strangers?
A typical day
I love hiking, and it'd be great to explore more places with your dog! I also live close to plenty of parks and trails, so there's no shortage of places to see for your little (or big) one. Activities that I love to do with dogs: frisbee/fetch, running, cuddling, photoshoots (very informal and mostly for memories via my phone), tug-o-war, nose touches, back/belly/ear scratchies, brushing hair, singing.
