I grew up with a chocolate lab and 2 golden retrievers - one of them I was responsible for training and doing most of the walks. A couple if summers ago, I had the opportunity to volunteer at my hometown dog shelter. At the shelter. I worked with dogs of all dispositions - dogs that had a lot of energy and others that needed low-key attention. Volunteering there also help strengthen my ability to read dogs emotions and needs.
