I’ve never had concerns with any sitters previously but didn’t have a good experience with this sitter (and his fiancé). I said they could help themselves to coffee and use some pots and pans if they needed to cook. They were altogether too comfortable and ate a lot of my food without asking for permission (a full bag of frozen sausage, two bags of frozen fruit, 2 chocolate bars, 2/3 a tin of cookies, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables, and I’m not sure what else but they went through every cupboard). They also used almost all of my bathroom products including body wash, shampoo, moisturizers, soap. One of my essential oils is missing so they must have used that too. They did clean when they left but they left the sheets wet in the washing machine so when I arrived home I didn’t have any clean/dry bedding. They texted a few days after asking if one of their passports was is in my jacket so apparently they wore my clothes too. The worst was they gave my dog 3x the recommended number of bones (which were unopened in my pantry). I asked them to feed my dog and give one greenie a day but they opened another pack of bones and gave way too many and my dog was sick for two days after with diarrhea and threw up part of one of the bones. They also asked me to send additional money on cash app which was inappropriate and uncomfortable when I paid the rates they set through rover. It was a bizarre experience overall when I’ve had really good experiences with rover for the last 6-7 years.

Alex was really great. I needed help last minute and he was quick to help. My flight home even was delayed and he helped extra till I could get back. He sent nice updates and pictures too!
