Pet care experience
After years of wanting pets I first had guinea pigs when I was 7, and then at 10 we got our first dogs. In total have had 3 dogs, all very different. The first was an older rescue dog, quite calm but could get frightened sometimes. Another is playful and friendly. The third is affectionate but protective of us, which can make him difficult to handle (but means I have good experience with stronger/more intense dogs). Growing up with dogs means I'm familiar with all the typical care - feeding, walks, bedtime, playing, bathing etc.

Alex stayed at our house with our dog Zoey for two weeks. We felt really comfortable knowing she was left in his care. We received regular updates and pictures. We got home to a healthy dog and a tidy home!
Alex was a joy to have in our home to look after Kramer. Great communication and flexibility. He knows his stuff about dogs, seemed to have a brilliant connection with our mutt, and helped us when it mattered. Highly recommended.
Alex is a wonderful human with a huge love for dogs. His family have two dogs of their own and he adores them. Both dogs have very different personalities- one is very anxious, especially around other dogs, and Alex handles him so well when out and about, with a lot of patience and empathy. He is responsible, hardworking, and kind and I couldn't think of anyone more suited to dog sitting. 100% would recommend.
Alex is very well suited as a dog sitter. He has been around dogs in his family home since he was about 10 years old and has experience of young, old, calm, lively and even 'aggressive' types. He is used to looking after them on his own (feeding, exercising, playing) and understands that each dog has its own unique temperament and personality. He is able to cope with more than one dog at a time when walking, and has experience of medium and large dogs. He really loves dogs, but also knows how to respect their limitations and guide them accordingly. I would heartily recommend him - he is a very responsible young man, who works full time in Financial IT and leads a responsible and active social life too.

We have a fully fenced garden, and am familiar with more mischievous dogs trying to cause trouble and needing playtime. I always use a lead when going for walks and am prepared for when interacting with other dogs. Have used various harnesses to help control larger dogs.

A typical day
I like to go for walks in the area or local park. Would take them on my runs if they weren't so lazy! Ember loves fetch so we also play at home. I enjoy taking breaks from work to play with them which helps me relax.

I'm working full time from home so can accommodate working remotely. I would love some doggie time out for a break and after or before work! So I am pretty flexible!
