Meow-llo! Pet Sitter & Dog Walker

Pet care experience

I’ve worked in Veterinary Medicine for 8 years, with positions ranging from CSR to Vet Assistant. I have experience giving medications, administering injections, working with puppy or senior animals, and those that are tempermental. I’ve house sat for clients since beginning my career in vet med and have maintained a lot of relationships with people and animals alike because of this. I recently had a career change from vet med to Web Development and am currently taking time off to pursue this new endeavor, which means I have a good amount of free time on my hands to look after your pet. I’m always willing to chat and work things out, so don’t hesitate to DM me for any special requests.

Alexandra has excellent interpersonal skills and works well with not only humans but also animals. She’s kind hearted, responsible and has maintained a variety of pets in her life from reptiles to rodents to dogs and cats. She’s organiszed, very clean and has never forgotten a potty bag on a walk. She always has a smile on her face and never hesitates to make sure you’re comfortable.

Alex is a kind gentle soul. I met her when we first started college about 6 years ago and throughout that time she's always been involved in working with animals, either for class or just volunteering. I know she wants to make a career out of caring for animals and the environment and I couldn't think of a better person to do that. She's stubborn but patient and determined and I know she would go above and beyond to meet a pet's needs.

The house I rent does not allow pets, so unfortunately I have none myself and that’s the reason why I cannot host any boarding requests here. I am more than happy to house sit and stay at your home overnight. I can host day care requests, and my backyard is fenced and allows for frequent potty breaks. There are no dangerous critters, toxic plants or unsafe materials that your pet could get into. If your pet prefers a carrier or crate to hang out in, I can accommodate that in my home too.

Home

Information Alex B. would like to know about your pet

All breeds are loved equally! I want you to tell me what YOU think I need to know about you pet, e.g. if they have certain quirks or fears, things they like to do, food preferences, etc.

A typical day

I love to stimulate dogs and cats mentally and physically. I live in Oak Park and it’s not exactly safe to go walking around the neighborhood. But there are lovely parks nearby I love to drive to and are dog friendly (if your dog loves car rides, that’s a plus!). I also have a fenced backyard that will allow for plenty of games and playtime.
