Pet care experience
I grew up with 7 dogs throughout my childhood/teenage years until I moved out to live in Boston, MA. Because I live in a different state, I cannot afford to own a pet at the moment than if I were back home in South Florida. However, my love for dogs has made me want to sign up and continue taking care of dogs. I have been working remotely since Covid hit, March 2020. My apartment is dog friendly and have a private dog park area within my apartment complex. I am near a big park where, if your dog needs exercise I am more than happy to take them there! I am usually free on weekends as well, but feel free to reach out anytime and confirm my availability. My current apartment does allow pets. I exercise 3-4 a week and often go running around in the Medford area and would more than love the company! I am very attentive and used to disciplining my dogs and I hope to apply the same skills from my experience to your dogs while creating a fun, safe and exciting environment!

I have to say, being a first time Rover user I was nervous to leave my pet in the care of someone else for a couple nights, but after Guster’s stay with Alex I wouldn’t have a fear in the world doing it again. Alex takes the time to really get to know your pet. She was willing to do a meet and greet beforehand to learn everything she needed to know about our dog Guster to make sure his boarding was as pleasant as possible. Alex also pays very close attention to detail. She was on point with his sleeping, eating, walking, and bathroom schedule. She made it a priority to let Guster play with other dogs and very frequently walked/exercised him. You can tell Alex thoroughly enjoys taking care of animals, and this is the best quality you could ask for in someone watching your pet! Alex was extremely flexible, she was able to accommodate our changing schedule on our weekend vacation. She was very adaptable to changes and made her schedule work to make sure Guster was well taken care of. Alex also walks out dog Guster frequently and along the way takes many pictures. It is very comforting to be able to see your pet having fun on its walks. Overall, Alex is the exact person we were looking for to trust boarding/walking our pet. She has every quality you’d look for in someone taking care of your pet and she will be my first choice every time!
Alex was so great!!! She sent me detailed updates of her walks with Odie and how he was doing. I felt so comfortable having Odie in her care while I was away. I will absolutely rebook her in the future. She went above and beyond. I would highly recommend her to any pet owner in the area.

A typical day
I like to go on walks/runs to Porter Square and near my house and would love the company. I am very outgoing yet conservative person. I would be a great fit for both high energy dogs and not-so high energy dogs. I read their moods really well and adapt quickly to the type of dog I am around. I always respect the boundaries/vibes the dogs give off and use my experience to supervise, tame and entertain the dog I am with.
