Pet care experience
Our house, which we call "the farm" is the place to be for fun loving dogs. Guest dogs enjoy an exciting and stimulating atmosphere and earn their rest at the end of the day, which is quiet, peaceful, and structured. Our personal dog is a female black lab who is equally playful and lazy. She is comfortable with pretty much all dogs and knows how to adjust or cease play to keep conflict at bay. Mom, dad, and kids have good dog-sense and are caring stewards to canines.
Reviews
Great, reliable, honest, trustworthy boarding. We felt very comfortable leaving our pup with Alex and his family. He sent us updates and prioritizes safety and care for your dog above anything else. Highly recommend!
Alex is a great dog sitter! I’m a first time dog owner and Alex shared a lot of his experience with me. He was super patient and kept me updated with the status of my dog. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs help to watch your fur baby!
Alex was so great to work with! He was very thorough and made sure huckleberry was so well taken care of. He kept us updated throughout his stay with videos and pictures. We will definitely be booking again with Alex!
Alex was so great with our 4 month old pup! He took the time to ask me all about her and make sure she was well cared for during her stay. I could tell she just loved her time with Alex/family based on the pictures he shared! Would highly recommend him.

Our yard is large and fenced in and our house is structured to keep dogs safe and comfortable. Our pet dog is crate trained, and we are happy to accommodate crates. Baby gates divide up the house to keep dogs and kids safe and happy. Expect your dog to be dirty when you pick them up - our grass is no match for rolling dogs.

Information Alex B. would like to know about your pet
Since we have two small children, I am very careful to accept dogs I deem as stable and responsible. We are not a good fit for dogs who: have separation anxiety are not fully potty trained mark indoors destructively chew things jump, climb, or dig under fences have never shared space with small children have never shared space with other dogs need extra care such as diapers, mobility help, etc Since we all share a small space together, I may use a vibrating bark collar on dogs who bark excessively. The farm runs best with stable, responsible guests who accept human leadership and play appropriately with fellow dogs.
A typical day
Daytime is usually filled with dog play/zoomies in the backyard, with down time inside if we leave on an errand or activity. I often schedule periodic rest/alone time to encourage relaxation and reduce stress for our guest dogs. Once the kids are in bed the dogs get an evening walk. I always try and help leash pullers relax and walk with slack on the leash, without aversives or punishment. No promises, but I'm sure we'll make some progress.

Availability
I am a full time stay at home parent. Daytimes are spent at home, playing with the kids and dogs. When we leave the house, dogs stay in a safely sequestered room or crate, if preferred. Dogs are free to relax and sleep on furniture - which can be off limits if you prefer.
