Pet care experience
I live in Oakland with my 7 year old cattle dog-border collie mix rescue. I have experience caring for dogs big and small, young and old, with a variety of health and behavioral needs. My dog came with behavioral issues so we have worked together on those for the past four years by engaging him with trick training and hiking. He loves beach runs! All dogs have their own personalities and needs, and I’m here to listen to you and them to meet those needs. I also know what it’s like to manage a busy schedule and still take good care of your pup, which is why Rover is great! Your dog will be in good hands and I look forward to working with you.

Alex is amazing with our sweet pup, Pnny. She gives great details about length of walk, her bathroom experience and is very responsive when I have changes in schedule and accommodates. Also, she takes LOTS of pictures, which is my favorite part! Can’t recommend her enough!!!
Alex Arzt is patient soul with a gentle hand, especially with our four legged friends. Every time I visit her she will teach the most seemingly dense pack of canines the most incredible tricks. I have left my 15 year old chihuahua in her care multiple times as I travel for work. Alex gives her all the TLC she needs, including an elaborate medication regime, plenty of outside time, and lots of cuddle time. Alex is a stand up human and advocate for the canine and feline world, she goes above and beyond to make our furry friends feel safe and taken cared of.
Alex is our first choice when I need someone to watch my two dogs. Alex is great with all kinds of dogs and temperaments. One of my dogs requires lots of attention and care, and can be aggressive, but that does not phase her. She has a great control over the situation. She has even taught both of my dogs new tricks when I have come back from vacation! While I have been out of town, she kept the house neat and tidy and stayed in communication with us on a regular basis, eliminating the stress of leaving the dogs and house behind. Above all, Alex is trustworthy, and our dogs love her.
