Hi there, my name is Alessio. I have been a dog owner for more than 30 years. I owned different breeds of dogs: Boxer, Staffordshire, Labrador, Alsatian, Setter, lots of cats and other mixed-breeds. I live with my wife and two kids. Our house is situated near Kirkstall Abbey between two of the main parks of the city. It has a nice back garden. We also have an allotment in the area; we visit it daily with the pets we care for, and they just love it. The space is big and enclosed, an experience of total freedom especially for pets unused to be unleashed. We also walk in the park or the forest nearby (2 min from home). We are a very energetic team; We love any kind of breed and are at ease with any size. Me and my son love to stay hours working on skills like recall or unleashed walk, while my wife and our daughter take the dog around the crescent at least twice at day. There is always somebody at home otherwise we are out somewhere with the dog. We never leave animals alone at home as we believe that a fundamental factor for a happy stay is to be always with the family. I come from a village in Sardinia, a self sufficient community. I had Shepherd dogs since I was born, from them I understood how important team building is . I care for dogs still with unchanged approach. I do not believe in harsh training strategies or soldier-like trained pets. Our method is based on a constant observation of the dog's needs in order to make him feel like an active part of our family. For example one of our strategies consists on having a bed per floor, so the pet can stay in her own space while constantly checking on the family. We let dogs sit on bed and sofas anyway as sharing human' space is our philosophy. A philosophy that throughout time has always proved positive for both parts, us and our clients.
