Alessandra and her kids took great care of Joel while we were visiting family. She sent me a video of Joel and her little girl playing and it melted my heart! Will for sure book with her again when we’re in the area.

Allessandra responded quickly to my initial request and was able to set up a meet-and-greet the next day, which I appreciated. I was looking for drop-in visits for my cat, and she was honest that she hadn't done drop-in's before and I would be her first one. She was very sweet and I felt comfortable giving her my house key and leaving my little one under her care. I stressed the importance of keeping my cat's feeding schedule on her routine, as this has been an issue with other cat sitters in the past. Before her first scheduled visit she texted me and asked if she could come several hours before or after the appointed time because she got called into her regular job (I didn't know she had a job that could interfere with the drop-ins). She also gave me the option to have her fiance do the drop in, which was kind but also not comfortable for me since he was not present for the meet-and-greet (it's already weird giving your house key to a complete stranger 10 minutes after you meet them!). But, needing to keep my aged cat on her schedule I opted for her fiance to do this one visit. On the second scheduled visit my neighbor called and asked why there was a big truck with some guy walking in our house - so I guess her fiance also did the second visit although we weren't told about that. Honestly, this made me really uncomfortable and added a lot of stress to our weekend out-of-town. I just felt like I didn't know what was going on at home, although I appreciated that someone was feeding my cat. I didn't get the regular check-ins through the rover app so I really don't know what time anyone showed up, I actually texted her 90 minutes after she was supposed to be there one day to make sure she was coming. When I finally returned home I noticed they had been mixing her wet and dry food together on one plate which is definitely NOT how I asked her to be fed. The instructions were verbal and written and sitting next to the food so I don't think anyone read them. I wouldn't ask Allessandra back, but she is a sweet person and seems to love pets, so perhaps it is better for her to do boarding at her house instead of drop-ins, especially if she has a job that can call her in on a moments notice.
