I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, specifically Vertebrate Zoology. I have an interest and plenty of experience in Animal Behavior and hope to further my education on this subject in graduate school. My experience with pets is very well rounded. I technically have almost 20 years of experience with animals considering I grew up around them all my life, but taking care of animals, in a professional setting I have over 10 years of experience. All throughout high school I volunteered and walked dogs at a local animal shelter and often just visited with the animals to keep them company. I worked at a veterinary clinic for a year where I gained a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats in a medical aspect as well as a boarding facility. I also completed an intensive animal husbandry internship at a big cat sanctuary where I cared for lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, etc. and I was a senior volunteer there afterwards. I do not have a lot of experience caring for other kinds of pets (i. e. birds, reptiles, fish) but I am completely comfortable handling them and I am willing to care for them with proper guidance and instructions. I currently have 2 Great Danes and 2 cats of my own and I am well versed with both special needs animals and felines in addition to dogs. I love ALL creatures and am willing to provide your pets with the love, affection, and proper care they deserve while you are away.
