Hi! My name is Alden, I’m a law student at UMich and love to pet sit in my free time. I have worked as a dog walker/sitter for over 10 years. Your dog's safety and happiness is my first priority, so please feel free to contact me with any additional details about your pet. When house sitting, I love spending time with dogs and cats and spend the vast majority of my time with them. Please reach out if you have any questions! I look forward to meeting you and your dog! In addition to dogs, I have plenty of experience taking care of cats (I have had cats for most of my life) and am more than happy to pet sit for your cat! If you board your cat with me, I’ll make sure not to book a dog during that time to avoid any stress for both animals.

We boarded our hound, Addie, with Alden for 2.5 weeks while we were out of state and everything was wonderful. Alden sent frequent photos and updates and was easy and reliable to communicate with. We can tell she took great care of Addie while we were away and made sure Addie felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommend Alden!
Alden was fantastic to have as a dog sitter. She met me beforehand and we talked about things so I could feel comfortable. While watching my dog, she sent me a bunch of pictures and some videos to provide updates and was very communicative. I find house sitting ideal because it’s the environment where your pet is comfortable. Happy to sleep over if preferred. As a law student, I spend most of my time reading, and I’ve found there’s no better setting to do that than just hanging out with a dog.

I ask for info on their feeding times, any behavioral triggers, and their typical walking schedule. I also like to be aware of how they are with other dogs so I can be prepared to keep them away from animals we may come across on walks.
A typical day
If you would like, I normally send updates to owners with photos of their dog. I sometimes take the dogs I take care of to dog parks (if the owner gives permission/if it makes sense for that individual dog).

Availability
I live in student housing, so I can’t board at the moment, but I have a car and can easily come to you. I only mark myself as available during times I can spend a lot of time away from campus, so if you book with me rest assured your pet will get plenty of love and attention!
