Hi, I'm Albertine! I’ve been pet-sitting consistently for the last few years. I really enjoy spending time with animals especially the cuddles and long walks with them. During the weekend, I love taking walks or going on runs around Jamaica Plain. It would be lovely to take your dog along with me. I promise to take good care of your pet and keep you updated on anything you would like to know.

Albertine was absolutely amazing pet sitting my two dogs and cat. She sent regular updates and pictures which allowed me to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing they were being well cared for. When I returned the dogs were happy to see me but sat by the door for the rest of the day waiting for Albertine to come back 😢
Albertine assisted in watching my cat, Tikka while I was away one weekend. She was early, competent, friendly, and had a natural way with my cat. Tikka can be a little shy and may hide initially around strangers, however with Albertine he was completely at ease and remained lounging, even after I left. I wouldn't hesitate engaging her to watch Tikka again!
Albertine is responsible and careful. She always completes her jobs and tasks on time and with a high attention to detail. She is fun, and energetic, and she always brings her entire self to any activity.

How does your pet react around other animals, people, and in new homes? I live in a pet-friendly apartment. In fact, my last roommate had a sweet dog who enjoyed lying on the couch in our living room - If you are comfortable, I’ll be happy to care for your pet in my apartment during the day.
A typical day
If your pet is in JP, we will go for walks around Jamaica Pond, the Arboretum, and Centre Street (if they are comfortable in those areas). At home, we would play indoors with their favorite toys. I love a good tug-of-war.

Availability
I work full-time as a Footwear Merchandiser, so my availability is usually during the weekend (Friday - Sunday evening). During that time, I can provide pet-sitting services at home, walks, and drop-in visits. I’ve provided services for clients with 1-3 pets, from pets who love snuggles to ones who need space and time to build trust. I’ve also provided some basic medical care, such as eye drops and pill administration.
