Pet care experience
I treat every animal I sit like they're one of my own. I love getting to know new animal friends and each of their special personalities. I am currently a cat owner, and I grew up with lots of dogs in the house, so I'm comfortable with cats or dogs of any breed. I also have experience with other pets, like rabbits, snakes, rats, and lizards, and would be happy to care for them too :) My goal when watching your pet is to make sure they feel safe and comforted by my presence! I know how scary it can be for our animals when there's a new person in the house. I want your pet to feel loved and secure.

I was SO very pleased with Alannah's care of my two cats and home this past week. She really showed great concern and was very descriptive in her email updates of everything while I was away. By far, she has been the BEST pet and house sitter I’ve ever had. I only hope she is available when I need her the next time and would love to keep using her from here on out. My cats really liked her and she took such good care of them! I plan to use Alannah as my pet and house sitter from here on out, when her schedule allows. Allanah is fantastic. She has taken excellent care of my dogs twice now and I plan on using her every time I need to leave town. She is a great communicator and handles my dog's complicated medicine schedules with ease. She also takes excellent care of my apartment and leaves it just as she found it.
Alannah did an amazing job house sitting for us along with excellent care of our kitty (and plants)! She was very attentive and even had a super sleuth moment trying to track down the cause of our cat being sick. She used great judgment in calling our vet and went out of her way to rearrange plans to give him extra attention while he was unwell. We will definitely be using her services again and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a responsible, loving and adaptable sitter!

At home, that means devoting all my attention to your pet and being mindful to keep the environment free of any potential hazards to them.

Before I sit for a dog I just want to know if they have any special needs I should know about (allergies, medication, food etc), and I also love to hear about what they like to do! Please tell me about their personality, any particular toys, games, treats, or activities they really enjoy so that I can tailor my sitting to them and make sure your dog feels happy and has fun while you're away!
A typical day
I think it's very important to match a dog's energy! For young and energetic dogs, I'll make sure they get lots of fun and exercise. If your dog is older or not quite as energetic, I'm happy to just give them attention and pet them lovingly. Either way, your dog will be given personal attention and entertainment when I care for them.

I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule - early mornings and late afternoons/evenings are always open, and if you need me in the middle of the day I can likely make that happen too. Just ask!
