Although I am Alannah’s mother, our family has had dogs in the home long before we had children. We usually always had two dogs at once, sometimes three dogs. Our dogs were always my children’s bestest friends. Once our last two crossed over, I decided that it was time to take a break from raising dogs so we started fostering. We were asked to take on a few different dogs, however Abby was special. Abby had been abused where many thought there was little hope for her. I still remember seeing her in the room in a box and looking at her and telling her never again would anyone harm her. Our family cared for Abby until she received the green light that she was ready to go for adoption. Well, Alannah was reluctant to give Abby back where she was told if she wanted to adopt Abby she could, however, she would have to care for her, pay for the bills on her, etc. Well Alannah adopted Abby and let me tell you, out of all my 52 years, I have never seen a dog as content or as spoiled as Abby, nor have I ever seen a happier dog. Alannah and Abby were a match for one another and the love that Alannah has for dogs is untouchable. I would not hesitate to recommend Alannah as a caregiver for any dog or any animal. We need more animal lovers such as Alannah....and I don’t say those words because of her being my daughter. I say those words because she does have a caring heart for animals.
