Pet care experience
For as much as I love dogs, I've never actually owned one! I did own a rabbit for 7 years and had a foster rabbit for several months. I have dog/house sat for friends, family, multiple bosses, and folks who have found me via Rover. I have experience working in shelters in NY and Australia, working with stressed out, nervous, and overly excited pups. I am confident taking care of any age range and breed, I've had experience with everything at the shelters! My friends also jokingly call me the pet whisperer because dogs and cats alike seem to love me almost immediately, and of course I love them back with head scratches and belly rubs!

Alanna stayed at our home over the holidays while my husband and I were out of town, and watched over our Maine Coon cat Louie. She was nothing short of spectacular and our house was extremely well taken care of! Alanna was great about keeping us in the loop about the house and also sending pictures of Louie. Her entire stay went smoothly and my husband and I would not hesitate to book Alanna again.

I am very respectful of others' spaces and aim to leave the house better than I found it. I always make sure to clean up after myself, take out trash/recycling, and am more than happy to get the mail, packages, water plants, etc.

Just would like to make sure they are a friendly dog who is trained. I'm a sucker for Australian Shepherds and Collies, but I'm open to any breed, age, and size!
A typical day
I love walking and love it even more when I have a pup to accompany me! I enjoy figuring out new ways to mentally stimulate dogs, especially around food/meal time. I have several dog parks near my house if they & you are comfortable with it!

I work full time but with a very flexible in office/wfh policy that allows me to work from where I need/want to. I am more than happy to spend as much time as physically possible giving your pet attention :)
