Pet care experience
I’m so excited! I just moved to DC to pursue my PhD in physics! I have experience taking care of my hyper border collie lab mix. I know they take lots of exercise to be good dogs at home. I also had a dog who was on medication for heart failure that I had since I was 4 years old and I made sure to give her the right medication at the right time, so know I am responsible and know how to care for old dogs too! (The trick is always peanut butter pills). Last summer I got a lot of experience caring for cats too. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I’ll answer as soon as I can!

Alana was great! Our pup Sancho instantly liked her. She took good care of our house, sent pics during the stay, and most importantly, we came home to a very relaxed and happy dog!
Alana took care of my cat and home for 3 weeks. She communicated well, sending photo regularly. She obviously bonded with Bruce. My home was left nice and clean. She even did a little shopping for me so that I had things for breakfast the next morning!
Alana did an amazing job housesitting for our anxiety-prone dog and food-obsessed cat while we were away for five days. Our dog had some *ahem* digestive issues (sorry, Alana!), our cat decided to cough up a hairball, AND there was a power outage while we were gone. She was extremely communicative and responsive when she had questions or unexpected problems arose. Everything was in perfect order when we got back. Would absolutely recommend her!
Alana was great - communicative and really generous in setting up a time, and Jacoba looked so happy coming home!

Get them outside! Especially big dogs benefit from lots of exercise and attention to tire them out. I’ll play with them, and keep them busy.
