Pet care experience
I am a huge pet lover! I grew up in the outskirts of South Texas with various pets: Chinchillas, geese, horses, cats, and dogs—just to name a few. I’m familiar with an abundance of different breeds, so I am prepared in terms of knowing what to expect when taking care of your furbaby. I love working breeds, but couch potatoes are just as perfect and loveable! ❤️🐾 Added Note: I do have plenty of experience caring for dogs of multiple breeds and sizes. Some of my experience stems from previous workplace experience at a luxury daycare/boarding facility in Downtown ATX. At times I would care for 20+ pups within a single room, alone. Scenarios such as this one and many other factors contributed to my decision to transition to taking care of our furbabies at a more personal level—via Rover & outside of the application.

When it comes to client's home, I make sure I have an understanding of the environment and doggos in order to be prepared to provide the best service possible. My own home is extremely spacious. There is a short hiking trail nearby and lots of nature in the surrounding area. It is a gated apartment located on the 2nd floor. There’s a pretty big balcony that’s tailored to the pups (my dog loves to people watch). Depending on the weather outside, I may sit out there and watch the pups relax on a cot with a cooling mat for them. There is natural light & your pup or kitty can feel free to people watch whenever desired! Pets are free to roam as they please, and I will make sure to always keep a close eye on them. Because I reside in an apartment, rest assured I will be giving your pup(s) multiple daily walks throughout the day. If the day is cool enough, your pups and I may also seek an adventure at a trusted park (or trail) then end the day with a pupcup!

Please let me know if there are any medications, behaviors to look out for (i.e. reactivity), or any specific instructions you’d like me to follow while I care for your pup! I understand if the pet industry may have failed you and your furbaby in the past. Please disclose any information you deem necessary and express any/all concerns you may have or ask more. I am trained to administer medications both orally and subcutaneously.
A typical day
I find it crucial to go at the pace your furbaby feels most comfortable in. For this reason, activities we may engage in can range from playing some fetch or running to extra bellyrubs and kisses on the couch! Some dogs may require more mental stimulation than others which I try to prepare for by teaching tricks and/or bringing along a dog puzzle game to challenge them—especially on rainy days! Depending on whether you and your pup feel comfortable, I could potentially have my mini aussie, Saint, tag along to help burn out some of your pups energy! Saint is properly socialized and fully trained. A little more about him: he occasionally participates in doggy daycare at my workplace… he’s the life of the party & never has an empty tank of energy. He is submissive and would match your pups energy style ☺️. Having Saint has helped other dogs warm up faster, and could provide a more enjoyable experience for your pup!

Availability
Currently work FT in North of Austin, approx 5min from where I reside. My job is flexible. I make sure to return home, during my lunch break, to provide the pups a much needed potty break. I prioritize providing at least 3 walks and occasional breaks throughout the day for pups! My own dog is walked 3-5mi a day. Short trips to our apartment’s dog park for some playtime varies depending on your pups temperament… the treats, cuddles and lots of love are part of the bundle! 🥰 I’m able to provide around-the-clock care on Saturday’s and Sunday’s—which I would suggest as daycare/playcare days. On weekdays, I continue to provide walks 3x daily. Early morning walks/runs are my specialty and usually longer (~45min-1hr+) considering the Texas heat during the day! At 3pm another walk is provided followed by a short break around ~6pm. Later, in the evening (8pm or 9pm-ish), I provide a ~30min-45min walk depending on temperature outside or if we took/take a trip to the park. My boyfriend stays home, so he also lends a hand with taking care of felines and doggos when I have to step out. Your pet(s) would absolutely be receiving extra love, pets, cuddles, and attention! **If available on Rover over the holidays, pet care services are FT. Feel free to ask for my schedule when reaching out so there’s no confusion in terms of caring for your furbaby!
