Pet care experience
I had my own dog for about 2 years, but have helped friends and family with their dogs as long as I can remember. I love Tahoe because there are so many places to walk dogs on trail and off leash. I just recently moved to Truckee from South Lake Tahoe and am ready to explore. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood and have trails pretty close to my house to get the dogs a lot of exercise. I also live with 4 dogs including Finn, two younger puppies and an older pup too they are all friendly and love other dogs. I love friendly, energetic, playful dogs and so does my dog Finn! I’d love to take your dog out for you on a walk or hike or have them over to the dog house!

Alan was fantastic. My dog Bear had a great time playing with his dogs and walking their property. It was Bear’s first time staying with a stranger, but Alan eased any worries I had. He was quick to respond to all my texts and questions, and sent photo updates often. I appreciated Alan’s help and will use him again in the future!
Alan is a dog lover! He has helped me by babysitting my dog for over 3 years when I leave town. He is amazingly kind and keeps his dog extremely active. He is always making his dog Finn a priority in his life. He is friendly and easy going which makes dogs love him right back. He would be a great choice for anyone to have help with their pets!
Alan is kind, considerate, patient, and loving. Let me share a story. We were on a family vacation in Hawaii preparing to leave. Could not find Al anywhere. After what seemed like an eternity he walked up. He had gone to buy me a single pearl necklace. He was no older than ten. Al is the best son a parent could ask for. He has never given me any trouble. Now about my granddog, Finley. Al treats that dog like a person and Finley has a personality like Al, patient, and laid back. It is weird that I feel like the dog is really a member of oir family and that’s because Al treats him like that. Anyone would be lucky to have Al as a dog walker!
Al is a great individual and a great friend. Here in Tahoe we have a lot of “Tahoe” dogs. Dogs that enjoy the outdoors as much as we do. Al really knows how to take care of these dogs and give them the appropriate attention and exercise they need. Our core group of friends like to travel and adventure and sometimes the dogs aren’t able to make the journey. Al is always the first to volunteer and help out when needed.
