Recently I asked Alan Kelly to dog sit for Bumbles when I was called away on business. My trip took longer than expected and Alan did not hesitate to volunteer the extra two nights. He fed, walked and cared for dog and was enthusiastic about it. Bumbles and I actually shed a tear when he departed.
Yes he is a very loving person. Being his son I have seen him take care of numerous dogs in a gentle and kind fashion. They all seem to like him as well. Alan is also very playful and loves the outdoors.
Alan is a very caring person who is gentle and compassionate but can also be assertive when necessary. He cares deeply about safety issues and makes sure that everyone is safe (dogs and humans). Alan has an abundance of energy and can be very physical (running and long walks), playful and spontaneous. He and I own an Akita which is where I observed firsthand the above qualities which are necessary for a responsible dog walker/sitter.
Man feeds plays picks up after dog.
I've learned in my adult years pet care is a lot like self-care. Today I am more active than many of my peers (just rode 900+ km Summer 2017). I've accepted, animal/human communication requires one to: observe, listen, sniff, respect, more just like with humans (less rhw sniffing). Qualities such as confidence, respect, meeting needs, and mutual understanding are important. I practice these with my human and animal friends.
All things considered, dogs have ...
What Alan would like to know about your dog
History of biting. History of training. Is the dog yours since birth (or shortly after) or adopted?
No breed preference.
