I have had dogs my whole life, ranging from a large and calm black lab during my childhood to a rambunctious rescue who always keeps me on my toes. While living at home, my parents would go out of town for short spans of time (up to ~2 weeks) and I would be responsible for all 3 of my dogs. Waking up to feed, walks, taking them out, etc. I am also, unfortunately, familiar with signs and symptoms of distress in dogs, since one of mine had a couple bad run-ins with food he was not supposed to eat. Although I have not had a cat of my own, my best friend in college had a cat who I learned to love *very* quickly. I just moved across the country and left my 3 babies at home with my parents, so I am missing them a bunch right now and would love to be able to spend some time around animals again!
