Pet care experience
I have been around animals all my life! I like to remember my childhood animals. My Pit-Bull Ushu, my Basset Hound Kokomo, my Siamese cat Binks, my kitty Mittens and my "fat cat" DJ. Growing up my mom worked in a veterinary clinic, so I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I like to think back to the first time my mom brought home 2 day old kittens, I was about 10. I got up with my mom and fed them every 2 hours and helped them go potty. We ended up keeping 2 of them, Mario and Lily! Since then I saved a baby Robin, rescued my American Akita Aurora aka Rory, and I fostered quite a few dogs. In helping my mom I learned a lot, in administering medication, training, and basic knowledge about animals! I also have experience as a medication technician, which is for humans, but animals are pretty similar. Even if we hit a roadblock I am a fast learner and shouldn't have a problem! I still have my childhood kitty DJ, he is my baby and he loves cuddles and to snack! He is 11 years old and is an old man now. Then I have my other big boy Biggie, he is very lazy and loves everyone! I just can not wait to cuddle and play with your fur-babies!

Akira was fantastic! She took great care of my dog, Neko! Akira provided me the full, detailed summaries of each visit complete with several picture she too from each visit. She varied their walks and spent quality time with Neko befoand after each visit. She even went so far as to buy him new doggie toys to keep him happy in between visits! I cannot thank Akira enough, and I know Neko feels the same! I will always have Akira be my dog sitter for the great care she gave Neko and for the peace of mind her reliability provided me while I was 2,000 miles away! A+ for Akira!

My landlord has a strict NO DOG policy. However, I can take any other animal for boarding and day care, except dogs. I have experience with birds, reptiles, hedgehogs, etc. I currently live in an animal friendly apartment with my old kitty, DJ and my fat cat Biggie. It has big windows for sun bathing and is in a good, quiet neighborhood. Prices may vary depending on the kind of animal and its needs.

I love all dog breeds, but I will always want to do a meet and greet. I personally like to do two meet and greets with you and your animals. First, I like to meet someplace neutral, like a park you like to go to, then a second meet and greet in your home so your dog sees me in their environment. I think it is very important that the sitter/owner relationship is strong and trustworthy, just like the sitter/dog relationship. I love to get to know your dog and/or cat like what their favorite toys, places, snacks, and such. I also love to learn about your animals personality, each one is a little different and they all have their own quirks!
A typical day
I love to go for walks to parks such as Lewis and Bark Park and The Gallatin County Regional Park or if you have a preference I love new places! I have a lot of energy and love to play with dogs and cats, but I love to just cuddle too! I like to get out with pets too and I know they usually have just as much energy, if not more than me. If your dog or cat really loves people, I know some local Assisted Living Facilities and/or Nursing Homes that can always use some pet therapy!

Availability
I am currently available full-time for all services! Also, I do provide services in Belgrade, I do charge an extra $5 if you do, just to make up for gas money. I would love to have repeating weekly visits, but I am pretty flexible too. I don't really do day of requests, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
