I met my first pup at the ripe old age of nine years old. My parents brought him home one day as a surprise and I was overjoyed. The timing was right—I was old enough to understand how much responsibility it took to care for an animal and I took that responsibility very seriously! Caring for him became part of my daily routine, from walking him around the neighborhood every afternoon to ensuring he was well fed and loved. My love for creatures of all kinds extended well into adulthood. I volunteered at the Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for two years, and I came across so many types of breeds and sizes of pets there, giving me a ton of experience caring for a wide variety of animal needs. I’ve handled medications, feeding, space sharing and have gained a ton of on-the-job learned skills that come with caring for animals at a shelter and veterinary office. Though I don’t currently own any pets at the moment, I’ve also owned three pups and two cats in my life and that personal experience has proven to be extremely valuable as well! I’m a very active person who love to stay in shape and can take on even the most high energy of pups! I get to know the individual personality of each dog in my care and give them providing a unique experience tailored to their specific needs. My clients enjoy the regular updates I provide and the obvious love and commitment I give to their pet. I love to play games and try to match the pet’s mood and demeanor to make sure we connect on a base level—and then go from there! Besides pet-sitting and dog walking, I work part-time but it has never impacted my pet-sitting business and I am ready to take on new clients. Thanks for stopping by!
