Being on a time crunch, and with our typical resources unavailable, we turned to Rover for the first time. We were lucky to come across AJ with little time to spare prior to a week long trip over the 4th of July. AJ was incredibly flexible - he came to to our home for a meet and greet prior to booking and had some great questions. I could tell he had some good experience with other families and the fact that he would primarily work from home (our home) was a bonus - our Pennylane is certainly used to someone being home most of the day! During his stay, AJ sent pics, videos, and kept us posted on how things were going. We had an unexpected delay in our return flight, and needed AJ to stay an extra night, which he had no issues doing with little notice! He also followed instructions very well - he took Pennylane to the groomers for a bath and picked her up when needed. He also did some shopping for more dog food and treats (we left in a hurry) which was great. We easily reimbursed him via Venmo. The only mishap I recall is Penny had a diarrhea accident in the kitchen which was the first time ever. I believe it was due to a bully stick not sitting well with her tummy. Either way - I appreciated AJ letting me know it happened (honesty goes a LONG way) and following instructions for clean up. We don’t expect perfection, and understand accidents happen, but we DO expect honesty, respect and care taken of our home & Penny when we leave someone else in charge. AJ did a great job in doing so. Our home also looked as good, if not better, when we returned. We will use AJ again!

I recently used AJ to care for my dog Pepe for a couple days and he did an excellent job! AJ was very polite, professional, reliable, responsive, and took lots of photos to keep me updated on how they were doing. He came by a couple days prior for a meet and greet which I appreciated. Also, AJ went out of his way to meet me early in the morning the day of to get my keys due to security constraints at my building that aren’t so guest friendly. Pepe warmed up to AJ almost immediately and AJ was very comfortable around my dog so it was evident he had experience working with animals. I would definitely use a AJ again and would recommending him to a friend. High marks from me all the way around.
