Thank you for considering our family. My husband Basil, our pups Gus and Maisy, and I would love to care for your dog while you are away! I am a huge dog lover and grew up with dogs, from golden retrievers to toy poodles, and I now have an 95 pound boxer lab mutt mix (Gus) and a 20 pound corgi (Maisy) of my own. We fostered to adopt Gus, while the skin infection he had when the rescue found him healed, so we have experience caring for dogs with some special needs (for example, medicated baths, daily ear medication, etc.) My dogs love having friends sleep over! We make sure our dogs (and yours!) get enough exercise in our large fenced in yard and through walks in the neighborhood and at the nearby Reservoir Park. Playtime and snuggle time are prioritized as well. I know what it’s like to be away from your dog and will provide updates and photos as much as you would like! Our dogs are very friendly and love to meet new dogs and play, but they are also big cuddlers and love to nap so they do well with any activity level! My husband and I both work outside the home, but I come home for lunch every day, and Basil typically gets off work in the early afternoon, so your pups are never home alone for long. OUR POLICIES 1) Sorry, spayed and neutered dogs only (exception: puppies under 4 months). 2) When possible we like to have a meet & greet at our home before your dog’s first stay so your pup can get familiar with us and our dogs, but exceptions can be made. If it's short notice or you are here for vacation, definitely reach out to us and we can make it work! 3) Drop off and pick up appointments: please text 15-30 minutes before arriving for pickup or drop off. As a general rule, we don’t allow pickups or drop offs before 7am or after 8pm, but exceptions can be made ahead of time. 4) Must be current on all shots, flea/tick and heart medications. Vet records may be requested. 5) Photos of your dog taken at our home during their stay will be posted to Rover and possibly used for promotion. WHAT TO PACK: Please bring a collar/harness, leash, and food. We have bowls and beds here but you know your pup best so if you think they would do better with something that smells like home, please bring a favorite bowl, toy or bed. If your dog is crate trained, please bring your crate. We do have a crate available for dogs under 20 pounds if needed.
