I am a student at Lewis and Clark College and am looking to pay my way through college. Throughout high school, I had my own landscaping and snow removal business called Aidan's Assistance which I had built over the past 4 years. My team and I have helped individuals move, cleaned garages and houses, mowed many lawns, and pulled what seems like thousands of weeds. I have walked dogs for 11+ years and have been pet-sitting for 9 years. I have always gotten excellent reviews on my work. I have a special connection with all animals and will work to build a strong relationship with your pet! I have worked with many different individuals from all walks of life, I simply enjoy connecting and serving the people of my community. I am an environmental studies major, on a mission to save the human-nature relationship, therefore you can expect me to spend a lot of time outside with your pet. I am excited to meet you and your beautiful pet! I hope you give me a chance to express my passion for pet care. Currently, I am working from home. Therefore, I can give more attention to your pet when I have my periodical breaks throughout the day. I also can cater to their schedule because mine is very flexible. I am very good at building rapport with animals quickly. I have been taking care of dogs with anxiety for many years now. From that experience, I have learned how to make a comfortable and calm environment for all pets. My goal is to make sure your pet is happy and safe!

Aiden took great care of our rambunctious pitbull, Babe, while we were out of town for the weekend. He was super responsive to all of our texts, came to meet Babe beforehand to make sure they would mesh well, and sent plenty of updates. It was clear that Babe really enjoyed herself, and we would definitely hire him again!
Aidan is the kindest, most reliable helper I have found in here in Portland. I’ve gone through a couple dog walkers with good reviews on Rover that just didn’t offer the level of care I wanted for my pup. Aidan is always on time, very flexible and communicative, and truly wants to find a plan that works for the both of us. I am so lucky to have him as my weekly dog walker! This is the first time I’ve left my dog with someone other than family. I appreciated Aiden’s patience with him as my dog was quite anxiety ridden and confused the first few days. Aiden was very conscientious and kind with Blue’s uncertainty. He contacted me with his questions and helped resolve Blue’s issues. As of now I am living in Sellwood and am fortunate enough to have fenced in yard! This is great, if your pet likes to spend time outside, as my backyard is large enough to roam :). My house is spacious and very well kept. If you sign up with me you can always come check the house out before purchasing my services!

Please let me know if your dog has anxiety about any particular stimuli, for instance, certain noises or objects. Also, please be honest with where your dog is struggling with training, we have all been there, and it is no reflection of your competency!
A typical day
I love to go for long walks in wildlife areas, such as Tryon Park. If your dog is able, I will most likely start the day out for an hour-long walk. After that, I typically follow their feeding schedule and take them out whenever needed. If your dog is particularly energetic, I will play with them in the late morning using games like tug of war and fetch. In the afternoon I will take them out again for another long walk, this time around 30 minutes. After that, if I feel your dog looks bored or needs some activity, I will usually try to teach them a trick of some sort or work on something that the owner has been training them. I will finish off the day with a shorter walk. Of course, many dogs may need to go out more than 3 times a day, if this is the case for your dog I will adjust to those needs.

As a college student, other your pet's health and happiness, my education is my number one priority, however, it is easy to schedule around my classes! Here is my typical availability: Monday and Wednesday 8am - 9am, 10:20am - 12:30pm, 4:30pm to 9pm Tuesday and Thursday 8am - 9:30am, 11:20am - 1:40pm, 3:20pm to 9pm Friday 8am - 9am, 10:20am - 8pm Saturday 8am - 8pm Sunday 8am - 8pm
