Other than my first year of college in the dorms, I have always always lived with dogs. I was raised with dogs of all different breeds, sizes, medical issues, and personalities from Labs to German Shepard’s to Chihuahuas. In college, I rescued two dogs and fostered many more. My dogs mean everything to me and they are constantly getting spoiled with love, toys and snuggles. To say I am a “dog person” is an understatement. I love all dogs and treat each one like one of my own. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! No matter if I am house sitting, stopping by for a visit, or hosting your pups at my house, you can rest assured that they will be well taken care of and loved.

Afton is always so great with our pups. She’s accommodating to us and our schedule and always professional. Our dogs love their visits from her whenever we are out of town!
We have used Afton multiple times for house sitting our pups. One is elderly and is on multiple medications with potential side effects and she was great watching for them and notifying us of any changes with him. Our pups love their visits from her when we go out of town!
Afton genuinely cares about and loves on Iris like one of her own. I feel very comfortable leaving iris with her when I am out of town. Overall great experiences each time!
Afton watched our two dogs for 4 days while we were gone in New York. I used to board my husky but now that he’s getting older he is getting more neurotic and unpredictable with other dogs so I wanted the comfort of knowing he was in his own home and environment. Afton would come three times a day and walk/feed/give needed medications to our two pups! She also has a husky of her own so it helped put my mind at ease knowing she is used to walking large dogs that have a tendency to pull on leashes. I will be using her services again for future trips!

To me, breed isn't an issue. I have fostered and worked with many “aggressive breeds” and have learned it’s all about knowing how to care for them. As long as you are honest and prep me on how to handle different, possibly difficult, situations with your pup, I am happy to work with anyone.
A typical day
I take my dogs on daily walks, so if you've trusted me with your pups and you are comfortable with it, they will be joining us. If you'd rather them have a walk by themselves, I am more than happy to do that as well. We have a great neighborhood with sidewalks to safely walk around on as well as plenty of fenced dogs parks all around us.
