I've been dog and pet sitting for about 5 years now. I'm a music therapy major at Sacramento State but I'm not in summer classes so I have plenty of time at the moment. I am free full-time except for when I'm at my primary job, but I currently only work part-time. I have a passion for all animals, but especially dogs. I also have experience with other animals if you happen to own multiple. I prefer to sit at your home because it tends to make animals more comfortable to be within their own house, but we can work something out if you absolutely need me to board at my home. I can provide plenty of entertainment, whether it be playing in the yard or walking, or just some good cuddles while we watch TV if the dog is more lowkey.

Afton has been my dog/pet sitter since she was 14. Usually during the summer, all of us are gone for about 2 or 3 weeks and Afton is my go-to gal. I have 5 dogs and 3 cats, and I used to also own a chinchilla. She happily provides care for all of them, and they absolutely adored her. I felt safe giving her a key to my home so she could make daily visits, and she went above and beyond and would make 2 or 3 visits a day to check in on them and feed them, as well as cleaning up their waste from the yard and the litter box. After awhile, I even let her water my garden while I was away! I would definitely hire her again in the future, she's a very kind and trustworthy girl.
I hired Afton to dogsit my two dogs, a terrier mix and a pitbull. The terrier is a bit older, probably somewhere around 6 or 7 years, and the pitbull is two. The pitbull at the time had a torn ACL and needed assistance getting on and off the couch, as well as on and off the bed. She needed to be on a leash any time she went potty, which was about every hour or two. She provided overnight care and daycare until 6 PM the next day when my roommate could come home. The dogs really took to her, and she sent me photos of them cuddling with her on the couch as well. I highly recommend her because she is clearly very passionate and thoughtful. It's nice to have someone the dogs so easily trust and enjoy being around.

I would like to know any allergies/odd behaviors. I own a dog myself who is allergic to many different kinds of food, as well as having a lot of skin issues so I understand how we want to limit exposure to certain things. I don't really have a preference for breeds, although corgis are my all-time favorite!
A typical day
We can go on walks by your house, or I can take the dog in my car to a local park/dog park. We can play in the yard or cuddle, I can try to teach them basic commands such as "Sit" and "Lay" and "Stay". I can also do baths. Unfortunately, I don't offer many grooming options just because of a lack of experience towards cutting their nails.
