Just a girl and her cat

Pet care experience

Hi I'm Adrienne, I am an animal lover, which is why I joined Rover. I have been pet sitting for neighbors and friends for over ten years. Most recently, while watching my friend's THREE weimaraners during their Mom's annual trip, I thought to myself, why don't I make a side job out of this? Be with animals AND get paid? I'll even talk to your animals in a special pet voice that's just for them, free of charge!

Adrienne is wonderful. She took great care of my shy cat, making him comfortable and giving him lots of attention. My cat & I recommend Adrienne and hope to work with her again!

I can't recommend Adrienne S. highly enough! She did a wonderful job with my pets while I was away for four days--a cat who was a rescue and is a bit feral at times and a dog who is very old and dealing with some significant health issues. She is very responsible, responsive, and reliable. She will not disappoint you.

Adrienne was so great with my two kitties! She gave them lots of attention and playtime, sent lots of photos, and was timely with communication. It gave me peace of mind to know they were well cared for in my absence. I would definitely work with Adrienne again in the future!!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and security is my number one priority. I will follow instructions to a T regarding your pets outside rules (i.e. must be watched while in fenced in yard; must be on leash when outside; only allow in fenced in area; okay to let roam in fenced in backyard unattended). As stated above, I am an animal lover and I take the responsibility to love and protect them while you're away very seriously. As a cat owner myself, I understand how vulnerable and nervous a pet owner can feel about having someone new in their home, checking on the precious furry family members. This is why meet and greets are very important to me. I don't want to just meet your pets to see if they are a good fit, I want you to meet me, so you can feel at ease that your pet will be taken care of by a trustworthy, dependable human that will love them just as much as you do while you're away.

Information Adrienne S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know your dog's personality. Are they chill, high energy, very clingy when you're away? Are they okay with other dogs, meaning if we see another dog or critter on the sidewalk, will they freak out or not even notice them? How does your pet do while away? Will they get scared and not eat, not want to go for walks? If that's the case, a M&G is a must, and if okay, I'll bring a safe dog biscuit with me so they associate me with positive vibes.

A typical day

This is pet dependent. Because I'm a highly cautious person, I won't take your dog on a car ride or to a park *unless specifically given permission*. If you have a fenced in yard with toys and room for them to run around, I will throw the ball and play with them in the yard. I'm happy to take them to a park or on a ride, but some dogs do not to well with other dogs they don't know, and to play it safe, I will probably stay away from them unless told it's okay. Safety is #1 priority!

As much as I wish I had a job in which I work from home, I do not. On days I work, Monday - Thursday, pets would be alone for 6-7 hours. Most pets are okay with this, however if you have a very young or old pup that needs to be let out every 2 hours, I would not be a good fit, unfortunately (for me since I guarantee you I want to meet your dog 🐶). Important note: At this time, I'm not doing stays longer than one week because I want to protect my energy and my own pet's happiness 😊
