Pet care experience
Hey there! I'm Adrianne. I live & work full time at home, between Palmer Square Park and a gorgeous stretch of the 606. My work as a health/life coach means that in between client sessions, I can flex my work to suit those doggy needs for long walks and playtime. I grew up caring for a veritable Noah's Ark (3 dogs, 4 cats, gerbils, a guinea pig, a chinchilla, 2 oversized goldfish, and a pair of rats); if it was unloved, unwanted, we gave it a home! Presently, I'm a passionate pet parent to Erica, a 5 year old pit-mix rescue. My girl loves visiting fur friends when I use Rover as a client, and I'm excited to bring the fun home as a sitter/walker! I also have long term experience caring for trouble makers-jumpers, climbers, and investigators/eaters of all things. I excel at "trouble proofing" my home from the most crafty of dogs, and keep the most watchful of eyes on walks. Just tell me in advance what sort of trouble your dog is, and then rest easy. If your dog likes to play, Erica can keep up the pace for as long as your pup wants to romp. She's a beta at heart, and lets other dogs run the show. She also tolerates "bossy" dogs well. (Especially those small dogs who need to run the show-you know who you are ;-)). To ensure I can give my best care and attention to your fur baby, we only take on one dog "family" (up to 2 dogs from the same owners) at a time. More on what what to expect below.
Reviews
Adrianne was wonderful with Ezra. She obviously loves dogs, and Ezra was happy to be with her in her caring home while we were out of town. She was communicative and sent lots of photos of him with her pup playing and cuddling. She followed up with helpful advice on his habits, as well as training suggestions. A great experience!
Adrianne was an amazingly patient and empathetic dog sitter for my two dogs. One of my dogs is a senior and Adrianne was very understanding and was able to work well with her with her limitations. My smaller younger dog was able to make herself and home and her dog was a gracious host.
Adrianne was great with our little guy! He’s a small senior pup who just needs a bit of extra love and attention and Adrianne gave him just that. From frequent photo updates to anything abnormal she was noticing about him, she kept us updated throughout his entire stay and I felt completely confident in her taking care of him. Would definitely recommend her to watch your little one as well!
Adrianne took amazing care of my min pin! She sent lots of photos, took Anubis on long walks to the park with her dog Erica, and gave them both lots of cuddles. If you want someone that will treat your well-loved pet like her own, you found her.

Information Adrianne P. would like to know about your pet
All breeds are welcome! Bossy dogs are welcome, but aggressive dogs are not. If you know your dog is a biter or a fighter, please know I'm not well equipped for your pup. Lastly, while I have experience with older dogs, my preference is for dogs that still have enough spring in their step to enjoy at least a 30 minute walk. Before sitting your pet, we would like to know about: -Fears of fire alarms or blenders? Mortal enemies of squirrels or skateboarders? Please let me know what (if anything) freaks your dog out or ticks them off. And of course, if you have an intervention that's working, definitely let me know. -Any other bad habits s/he has that you are working to discourage. -Working on a training habit or new trick? Please let me know the trick and the command cues, and I'll be sure to continue the training while they're here. -Any medications, schedules, etc for your dog. I have experience with oral and topical meds, but not with injectables.
A typical day
Every day includes: At least 3 walks (more if requested): -A morning walk of a few blocks, an afternoon walk of ~45-90 minutes to the park or 606 (rainy or below 20F days days excepting), and a before bed pee time. On very cold or rainy days, I try to balance out the shorter walks with training type play time indoors. -When it's warm enough, I take my laptop to work in the fenced in backyard with Erica in tow. If your pup is up for play, this usually means playtime for Erica. Otherwise, they can hang out with me in the sun (or shade). -Extended mealtimes. If staying with me for more than one night, and you bring their kongs, I'll freeze their meals inside the kong. This slows eating and increases that endorphin raising chew time that dogs love so much. -Working on a training habit or new trick? Please let me know the trick and the command cues, and I'll be sure to continue the training while they're here. -I like to return things in the condition I found them. If your pup gets dirty, I clean 'em. (A very real possibility with doggy wrestling!) Grooming as needed, free of charge.
