1.5 acre yard - plethora of toys

Pet care experience

BACKGROUND ----------------- My life partner, Kyle, and I own a house on a 1.5 acre lot in the Holly, MI area. We each moved to Michigan after graduating from college in 2013 - he's from Omaha and I'm from Chicago. We own two large breed dogs -- 6 year old Husky (Kane) and 5 year old German Shepherd (Kiwi) -- who are obedient and know sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, and come, and we added little Luna, a Pomeranian Husky mix, to the family in 2018 (she's still learning a lot of things). They love making new friends big or small! However, I will always schedule a Meet & Greet before booking to make sure our dogs are a good match for boarding at our home. QUALIFICATIONS ------------------- Kane and Kiwi have been in our family since they were puppies and we've developed the necessary level of patience needed with high energy, independent dogs. We are comfortable working with puppies that aren't fully house-broken or that may need some basic obedience training. I am a certified Veterinary Support Assistant which means I have basic first aid knowledge and handling skills. I am comfortable grooming and can administer special medications or diets if necessary. AVAILABILITY --------------- We are currently NOT boarding dogs in our home, but I am available for house sitting at your home as well as drop-ins. I am available most weekends including holidays and am currently working from home during the week. Otherwise, please visit my calendar to check for exact dates. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any special requests or concerns! We want you to feel comfortable knowing that your dog will be in a loving dog-friendly home.

Adriana is the best!!! She’s the next best to Sebastian having me home. She’s attentive, reliable, loving and goes above and beyond. She keeps up good contact with me and let’s me even chat with my cat thru FaceTime. She pays attention to my cats moods and health and gives me a great daily report. My cat can be a bit difficult yet Adriana provides him with the attention and care he needs while I am gone. She’s the best!!! 👏👏👏

Always does a good job. My cat isn’t the easiest pet to take care of and Adriana does a great job. The best. It’s a relief to have found her.

Please answer the following questions when booking with me for the first time: Does your dog have any allergies? How does your dog interact with other dogs? (ex: aggressive greeter, playful, etc.) Is your dog an escape artists? Micro-chipped? Is your dog allowed on furniture? Does your dog prefer walks or just playing with toys? What is your dog's feeding schedule? Does your dog take any medication or supplements? Any special instructions?

A typical day

WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR HOME ------------------------------------- Kyle and I are both full-time engineers, but we work opposite schedules -- Kyle works second shift Sunday-Wednesday and I work first shift Monday-Friday. Our schedules allow one of us to be home all day Thursday-Sunday. However, if we need to leave the house for any reason, then the dogs are kept in LARGE kennels with a peanut butter stuffed KONG chew toy. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture in our home unless invited. However, we have plenty of dog beds and blankets for them to use. WALKS -------- Walks are between 15-30 minutes long. They're usually "around the block", which is essentially 1.5 miles on a low traffic natural beauty road, but sometimes we'll just take some time to run around in the backyard. We ALWAYS carry treats, water, and bandages whenever we leave the house during long walks. PLAYTIME ----------- We have a large 1.5 acre non-fenced yard with a 100 ft dog run. Playing fetch with a Chuckit ultra ball is our German Shepherd's favorite game, but we rotate in some Frisbees, too. There is no shortage of chew toys, cow bones, and stuffed animals for your furbaby to play with -- and our dogs LOVE to share. DISCLAIMER --------------- If you are inquiring about an overnight stay, please note that drop-off and pick-up times should be discussed before the stay begins. Additional charges may be added if pick-up time is after 6PM.
