For ten years I worked in the frigid north for a Siberian Husky rescue organization doing temperament evaluations and placements, I put together and trained a just-for-fun dog sled team of neglected and abused dogs, and we ran with joy in our hearts and with warm and loving homes to return to. Having hung up the harnesses and having stored the sled, I moved to Portland and got my doggie fix by sitting dogs privately for the last 8 years. It has been a joy for me, and my experience, report, and training has helped various dogs and families. One of my main influences is animal behavioralist, Patricia McConnell. However, my most cherished teachers have been the 6 huskies the I grew up with. I learned the language of the pack, the power of loving touch, the importance of body language and discipline, and the comfort of a clear hierarchy. I look forward to working with you and your dogs to help them thrive and integrate into a happy life with you.
