Pet care experience
Most importantly, my wife and I will follow YOUR pet sitting rules. We want to take care of your animal as you would so that no habits that you don’t want in your pet are learned while we are taking care of them! My wife and I have both had family pets our whole life. My wife has had a Golden Doodle for 12 years and I had a Shetland Sheepdog for 6 years and a Birman cat for 6 years. We are Herndon residents and don’t currently have a pet of our own so we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to pet sit! I work from home most days so my pet-sitting schedule is flexible. Generally, I will have to go to the office for a 2-3 hours on Fridays. We have a 4 story townhome with a walking park across the street. If your pet has trouble going up/down stairs then it may not be a good fit. The walking park across the street and the playground on the opposite side of the house make the neighborhood extremely dog friendly.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience boarding my senior dog with Aditya & Sonali! They sent tons of pictures, kept me updated throughout the time I was away, and was extremely accommodating when I had to change plans for pickup. My dog loved them and immediately felt right at home! I will definitely be requesting their services for future trips. :) Thank you again!

Aditya and Sonali did an awesome job taking care of Gizmo! They kept us updated with lots of pictures and returned us a healthy happy pup. Would definitely recommend them for any dog sitting needs!
This is the first time we used Rover and I’m glad we did. When I picked Milli up she didn’t seem stressed or nervous at all, I could tell that she had a good time with them. Who wouldn’t with all the belly rubs, cuddles and multiple walks she got every single day. We received pictures of her daily which was assuring. Our experience with Aditya and Sonali was great and we will happily use them again. Thanks guys for taking such good care of our girl.. you are the best!

We generally are home, but in situations where must leave the house we will either make sure with you that the dog is okay being left alone, or, with a provided crate, we will crate the dog per your instructions. Alternatively, if we are going to a dog-friendly location, and you have given explicit permission to take your dog with us, we will bring the furry friend along with us. In our home, we only have one owner’s pets at a time. This is to ensure that the pet is comfortable and reduces the stress on us as well as it is not easy to manage interactions between multiple different owner’s dogs at once.

We would like to know your pet’s feeding schedule, how often they generally go out, what kind of verbal or non-verbal signals they might give when they want to go out or when they want to play, and the do’s and dont’s for taking care of your pet. If your dog is not crate trained or you do not plan on providing a crate, then the dog must be comfortable with us leaving the house for a few hours without causing any damage to the house. At this time, we can not take care of dogs that have separation anxiety and are not crate trained.
A typical day
We have a great walking park right across the street and there are many large fields where the animal can safely be off-leash, if you are comfortable with that.
