Bully breed and cat friendly sitter

Pet care experience

I have been an experienced pet owner for 25 years. I have experience owning three wonderful dogs and four cats amongst other critters. Also, I have owned a genuine pig and domesticated mice. Currently, two cats own me. Their names are Moscha and Bleu. I am very familiar with the behaviors that cats and dogs may display since I've had pets in my home most of my life. I used to ride horses regularly for 10 years. I absolutely loved the experience and would consider riding again in my future. I consider my pets to be family. I have lots of empathy for animals. They make my heart melt. I am "bully breed" and cat friendly but will care for other animals in a home as well. I don't understand why the term "bully breed" exists. Dogs in this category aren't "bullies" at all. They in fact are loving companions and family members. My rescued pit bull Scandolous is the perfect example of this stereotype. She was my love and a very loving dog to everyone she met for 16 wonderful years til she passed. She was the best dog EVER! My sweet pitty girl came with the name Scandalous. However, she was never the scandolous type. My family and I inherited her when she was a year old because the owner of the home we purchased left her chained up in the back yard for an entire year, even after he moved out. She was alive when we arrived at our new home because our neighbors on both sides of us fed her through the fence every day. I was ecstatic about this inherited animal that we just received. This was also a time where even though she was a pit we were still skeptical of the breed because of known stereotypes. I didn't care because suddenly I had a new dog. However, within a very short period of time I fell in love with her. My sweet pit girl changed my life and my perception of pitbulls for the better and for forever. We gave her a wonderful life lived. I miss my sweet girl still to this day. It is also a goal of mine to become a foster parent to animals in need of a home one day. I'd love to add a parrot, ferret and another pit bull to my household one day. I have experience volunteering in an animal shelter caring for cats and dogs. I come from a non smoking home. I prefer to care for one dog at a time during walks if it is a large dog unless there are multiple dogs in a client's home. I will care for multiple small dogs at once. Kittens and puppies are also welcomed amongst my services. I am CPR and Med Aid certified for humans. I am familiar with cat and dog CPR. Professionally, I work for adults with developmental disabilities in there homes to ensure that these individuals live as normal lives as possible. I would love to care for your elderly pet or if one may have special needs. I don't mind getting my hands dirty if needed. I'M ALL YOURS! I am a very creative individual and enjoy learning new things. I will be flexible in order to have your pet's needs met. Additionally, I'll spend more time than allotted with your pets if needed. I will treat your pets as family and with the best care possible. I can't imagine my home without a pet. The animals past and present in my home and whom I have encountered in the community have contributed tremendous joy towards the quality of my life. Rates notice: My rate for puppies is $15. If more than one puppy is included in a visit it will be an additional $15 per puppy. My $5 additional dog rate applies to adult dogs only. Thank you!

I asked Adesjola to let my dogs and feed them one evening at the next morning. The meet and greet went well and we asked her to come between 5-7 in the evening and the next morning. At midnight I finally received a message that my dogs were fed. The next morning at 11:30 I asked how the dogs had been that morning only to find out that she had not been to the house to let them out and didn't have plans to until 2:30pm. Midnight and 2:30pm do not qualify as evening and morning in my book. I was very stressed about the care of my dogs who were left inside for 16 hours and then another 14 hours. I will not be using Adesjola again.

I have known Adesjola for over twenty years. Whether its daily basic maintenance or a good belly rub, Addie is ready and willing for the task. As a veterinarian I know caring for animals must be more than a hobby. It should be a passion. Adesjola would be a great caregiver for your furry family member.

Adesjola grew up in a family household where, at various times throughout the years, she had an irresistibly loveable Pit Bull, two German Shepards, cats, guinea pigs, goldfish, mice, and ants in an ant farm. For several years she rode and cared for horses - and competed in horseback riding, winning many awards. Living in her apartment, she really misses having a dog, because of a special fondness she has always had for canines. So when she told me she was interested in dog walking or sitting, I thought that she would be the perfect person for someone to entrust their pet dog. She is great with animals and has volunteered at Wayside Waifs. Moreover, she's very responsible and hard working.

Adesjola and I have worked together and I've brought my dog and bunny and she loves them. She's attentive and loving and really cares about them. She will talk loving to them, carry them around and get them water and play with them. MaryK
