Pet care experience
I’ve been pet sitting for neighbors since eleven years old, whether that meant stopping by to walk/feed/hangout for a bit or even house/petsitting overnight for a while! I’ve always loved animals, I had lots of different types of pets growing up and plan on continuing to surround myself with animals! My experience includes (but isn’t limited to) dogs, cats, chickens/birds, snakes, rodents, fish, & frogs BUT I’m always up for something new and learning new things so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you don’t see your pet listed!!!

Our animals, a cat and dog were very well cared for and seemed calm and happy upon our return. Our cat is extremely shy with new people but quickly became friendly with Adele. We got pictures and reports regularly while we gone.
We were only gone for a quick trip, but our pets are everything to us. Finding the right person to watch them is very important to us. Adele was great at communicating before our trip and during. We'd love to use her again in the future.
Adele is an amazing dog sitter, Ramona, my Newfoundland is a typical Newfoundland, aloof and stubborn, she is not always immediately sure about strangers and has been difficult for some people refusing to go on walks, or just pouting by the door and waiting for her family to return home. Adele is great and took it in stride, they became fast friends, and she took Ramona on car rides, which Ramona loved, she was attentive and didn’t hesitate to text if she had in any questions. They bonded and I trusted Adele completely, she texted me updates and photos of their adventure and it gave me piece of mind knowing my dog was in good hands and being loved. When my dog needed medication, she made sure that it was given at the right time and that Ramona took them. I have since referred Adele to friends for their dog and house-sitting needs, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to you as well. Your furry family member will be well loved and taken care of in the same way you would do.

I make sure to spend as much time with the pets I’m petsitting as possible, making sure they feel safe and comfortable around me as well as their environment. I like to set up at least one meet-up before hand just to make sure it’s a good fit for you, your pet(s), and myself. It’s also helpful for me to have any necessary information in written form as well as going over it in person. I understand how stressful it can feel to leave a pet at home for both the pet and the owner so I want to make the situation as stress free as possible for both of you!

A typical day
I love spending time outside with animals, whether that means walking around and exploring new neighborhoods, going to a nearby park or beach to play, or just hanging out in the yard! I love long walks through Mt. Tabor and Washington Park or the occasional car ride to the Starbucks drive through for a pup cup(: Obviously every “sit” is different and each adventure is based on your pets’ individual needs and comfort/reactivity levels, but no matter what we will have a blast regardless of any limitations! With that being said I may also personalize my pricing to you and your animals specific needs depending on each gig, I understand that some animals require more than others and I’d like to reflect that in my rates(:

Availability
I work part time (3-5 days per week), each shift is no more than 8 hours. With that being said, I’m happy to request time off from work as long as I have at least three weeks notice. While I’m not in school right now, at some point I’d love to start taking some classes surrounding human and animal behavior and psychology but for now I’m focused on saving money(: I live in a small studio apartment so I’m currently unavailable for boarding, besides that I want to do whatever you’re most comfortable with!
