Addison house sat for us for a full week. Perhaps he does better watching dogs during shorter time spans. He flushed paper towels down our toilet and we came home to a sewage backup once we started running our water. He told me that he always flushes paper towels down toilets and it never causes any issues, but to me, it’s common sense to not do this. I really regret that I have to leave such a horrible review, but the issue doesn’t stop with the sewage backup. There was an old saturated pee pad left under a clean one in our dog’s crate. It had obviously been there for days. Also, the hardwood floors wreaked of pee when we got back home. There was also a time that our dogs were left in their crate area for 12+ hours while Addison was at our house. I’m not sure if he was sleeping during this time or what, but leaving dogs in a confined area with no water is neglectful. Especially for geriatric dogs like ours. We had to call him that day to ask him to go take care of the dogs and it seemed like we had basically woke him up. It was a rude awakening to come home and spend our final day of vacation with the plumbers and sanitizing our flooded basement. He did come over the day before and take notes/acted very interested in doing a good job, and he was also very responsive when we reached out to ask about the dogs. Additionally, he stayed at our house the entire time, but unfortunately it seemed that he wasn’t very attentive. He seems to lack the level of maturity needed for this job, as he also left our dogs out all night when we reminded him they were supposed to be put up in their crate. When we asked if they had been left out again, he told us no, but we knew they had since we have a doggy camera in their crate area and checked it throughout the night and early morning to see if they had been put up yet. We could clearly see through the living room camera that they were out and having accidents.

Addison really helped my dogs feel safe while we were away. He was good at sending updates, and made an effort to form a relationship with my pets. even cleaned up the house before we got back! I highly recommend him as a dog sitter, or any pet in general!
