I was a little worried about leaving my frenchie puppy Dottie with someone but Adam made her comfortable from the very beginning. He came over and not only checked in on her but played with her, fed her and changed her training pads. He sent me pictures to ensure me that she was fine and that eased my anxiety. He also kept constant contact before, during and after the drop in visit. I appreciate his professionalism and love of animals. I will definitely have him back over to watch Dottie again.

Adam was an amazing caretaker for our two furbabies. He kept us up to date on every visit with messages and a lot of cute pictures! It's very clear that he loves animals. I will definitely book his service next time I'm out of town, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you Adam!

Adam was the ideal pet sitter for two nights during a wedding in NY. He’s very polite , pleasant and wonderfully comforting and caring . He took very good care of our beloved 7 month old Wire Fox Terrier, Dante, for many hours at the hotel while we were at the event. He sent regular updates and took care of the little guy. His caring and trusting manner gave us complete peace of mind so we could enjoy our son’s wedding. I highly recommend him to anyone and will surely engage his services again.

Adam was the perfect dog Walker for our big and strong German shepherd dog. We went away to Jamaica for 8 days and didn't know where to look for a dog Walker the will deal with and over protected dog, but Adam made a few friendly visits to allow the dog to get use to him and trust in him. Well we thought it would never worked but it did. Adam Came on time for each walks, feeding our dog on day by day time like we requested, changing his water before and after each walks do to the heat wave, letting him run and play for a few minutes after each walks in our yard of course lol, and overall Adam is a great dog handler no matter what size dog, ours is about 145lb so that's big yes and great job Adam we will be using you again real soon.

Safety, trust & environment

Caring for dogs in clients' homes requires a thoughtful and responsible approach to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being. Here are some key aspects of providing exceptional in-home pet care: 1. Familiarize Yourself: Before entering a client's home, familiarize yourself with any specific instructions, routines, or preferences they have for their dog. This includes feeding schedules, dietary restrictions, medication administration, exercise routines, and any behavioral considerations. 2. Create a Safe Environment: Ensure that the home environment is safe and secure for the dog. Close off any areas that may pose a risk, such as rooms with valuable items or potential hazards. Check that doors, windows, and gates are properly closed and locked to prevent any accidental escapes. 3. Maintain a Consistent Routine: Dogs thrive on routine, so strive to maintain their regular schedule as closely as possible. This includes feeding times, potty breaks, exercise sessions, and any other activities that the dog is accustomed to. Consistency helps reduce stress and provides a sense of familiarity for the dog. 4. Provide Mental Stimulation: Dogs need mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destructive behavior. Engage them in interactive play, provide puzzle toys, or offer training sessions to keep their minds active and engaged. This can include teaching new tricks, practicing obedience commands, or playing scent games. 5. Exercise and Playtime: Dogs require regular exercise to maintain their physical health and release pent-up energy. Take them for walks, play fetch in the backyard, or engage in other activities that suit their energy levels and abilities. Tailor the exercise routine to the dog's breed, age, and overall fitness. 6. Maintain Hygiene: Keep the dog's living area clean and hygienic. Regularly clean food and water bowls, provide fresh water, and ensure that bedding or sleeping areas are clean and comfortable. If necessary, follow any grooming instructions provided by the client, such as brushing or bathing the dog. 7. Monitor Health and Behavior: Observe the dog's health and behavior closely during your time in their home. Look out for any signs of illness, discomfort, or unusual behavior. Report any concerns to the client promptly and seek veterinary care if necessary. 8. Communication with Clients: Maintain open and clear communication with the dog's owners. Provide regular updates on their pet's activities, behavior, and overall well-being. Address any questions or concerns they may have and ensure they feel confident that their dog is in good hands. Remember, caring for dogs in clients' homes is a privilege and a great responsibility.

A typical day

I start my day bright and early, excited to embark on my dog walking adventures. I gather my supplies, including leashes, treats, and waste bags, ensuring I'm fully prepared for any situation that may arise. As I head out the door, I take a deep breath, ready to embrace the joy and energy that comes with spending time with these furry companions. I arrive at my first client's house, greeted by wagging tails and excited barks. I take a moment to connect with each dog, establishing trust and a bond before we hit the pavement. With leashes in hand, I lead the pack, guiding them through the neighborhood, exploring new scents, and enjoying the fresh air. Throughout the walk, I pay close attention to each dog's needs, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable. I adjust my pace accordingly, allowing the more energetic pups to burn off their excess energy while providing a more leisurely stroll for the older or more relaxed dogs. I engage in playtime, throwing balls or playing tug-of-war, to keep their minds stimulated and their tails wagging. As we continue our journey, I make sure to maintain a watchful eye on the surroundings, ensuring the dogs are not exposed to any potential hazards.
