Hi everyone! I have had a rescue dog in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had Sydney, the neurotic Collie who would never stop barking or stop trying to herd us. Now I have Orlando, who is an amazing dog but has his share of difficulties. As someone who has chosen to care for a rescue dog, I am all to familiar with the complications and sensitivities some rescue dogs have. Orlando struggled from reactivity and separation anxiety for the first 6 months or so that I had him. Then, I started working with a personal trainer and learned a multitude of tricks, games and training activities to help him get over his fears. I also learned how to be a better dog owner and a better manager of him- now he's doing so well and he has grown so much! Also, Orlando requires some medicine on a daily basis, and I have developed a few tricks for ensuring that he gets that regularly, as well. I love exercising and playing with active dogs. Going for runs, heading to the dog park or even a game of classic fetch are all some of my favorite activities. I treat every dog that I encounter with the care and respect that I treat Orlando with and I can't wait to get to know your dogs, too!
