I work part time supporting clients with developmental and communication disabilities in the community and driving them to therapy appointments and other social events or their own personal commitments. My schedule in that job is flexible and it alternates weekly depending on the person’s schedule for that week. My availability can vary week by week but generally on the days when I’m in town I can be available between 10AM and 1PM and 4:30PM and 7PM.

Safety, trust & environment

I’ll like to start with engaging with your pet in mutual play upon arrival and offering company as I understand first hand how some pets can experience separation anxiety. After that I’d change their water bowl by putting fresh water in, cleaning their eating area and feeding them. I end visit the same as I started it. I will take pictures to send to you and record anything else you need me to for your peace of mind.

Information Ada G. would like to know about your pet

It would help me if you share your dog’s likes and dislikes. If they have any anxiety towards other dogs or certain people, if you know of any triggers I’d appreciate to be given the heads up, so I know what to expect and be proactive. I think of your dog’s safety first just like I would do with my own.

A typical day

I’d follow your dog’s lead! I’d personally like nature walks for dogs but if your dog prefers to stay closer to home that’s fine as well!

Pet care experience

I am mom of two-legged kids and one four-legged one. I have been caring for dogs basically my whole life, some of my own and others from family members and I’ve learnt something new from each and every one of them. I work as personal care assistant for children with disabilities mainly those with communication difficulties. When I’m not doing that I taking nature walks or hiking with my family. Part of my main job by default has been to be patient, stay attuned with those I’m caring for caring and keep up with their energy. I can accommodate your pet’s needs in any way I can. Just let me know what you’d need me to do that works for your family and your furry friend. I’d make your dog’s walk a fun and safe. I will promise to make my drop in visits meaningful as I stay for 40-45 mins instead of the standard 30 minute visit, as I find it works better for the dog(s) as we get to bond and spend quality time, especially for those that their pet parents are away at work or on vacation. I don’t mind the chewers and if you don’t have toys I can bring in toys for your dog(s) to play with. I’m also experienced with senior dogs as I have had to care for my own, though they’ve known crossed over I will ensure to respect their wishes if they’re too tired I will keep the walk short and purposely. Update: For dog drop-in visits, there is no additional charge for an extra dog.

Ms. Ada is wonderful with my dog. She’s great with checking in so I know he’s okay, and she really cares for him. Highly recommended!

Ada is a wonderful caregiver to my dog. She always writes about her day with him, and takes great care of him while I’m at work. Happy to have her as a dog sitter!

This was my 1st time using Rover, let alone any type of service. Ada was very nice and took good care of my cat Jet, she did everything I needed and even little more. He enjoyed seeing her and I will definitely be using Ada in the future. Thank you again for the pleasant experience.
